I'm sure all of y'all have seen the official announcement that s5 is going to be the final season and while that makes me very sad that after next season we will no longer have OBX to look forward to, I am extremely thankful they are getting the chance to do the full story they wanted. And yes, I will 100% be writing s5 when it comes. 

But on a more exciting note: Part 2 comes out Thursday!! (I am 1,000% waking up right when it drops like I did for the first part). I have the entire first half of the season completely written and ready to go, however I will not be posting any of it until I have the second half completely finished just in case I want to add or take anything away from the first half. It just makes things easier on myself with keeping things straight and not having conflicting writing. Also gives me more time to edit to make sure I'm happy with how my additions are going. 

Speaking of additions: obviously there is more JJ & Kie in this season being an actual couple, and with that I've had to change some things. However, as some of you have guessed/hoped for I am making Kiara and Nia an official couple, so in that 18 month time gap they got to know each other and start officially dating, and I of course had to throw in some cute moments between them as well. 

(Side bar: in like a year when I'm missing writing OBX would anyone want me to write a Kiara x Nia book? Like basically have the same things from this one, just expanded upon and y'all would get to know Nia a lot more? Would anyone want that?? Asking for a friend. Also second q, who are y'all envisioning when y'all read about Nia, because I'm going to be honest I have no idea. I'm caught between a buffer version of Avantika Vandanapu or a taller version of Devery Jacobs specifically with the red streaks from Echo, but what were y'all thinking?? Gotta be someone who would make me bi-panic so ya girl needs help) 

Season 4 goal: now I am very very neurodivergent and high key need a due date to keep me on track of things, so my personal goal is to get the first episode out on November 20th. Now things may change and I have to move it, but that is my goal. Helps that I've kinda already got an idea for the route I want to go based on trailers and what I personally think is going to happen in part 2 (and I absolutely love when I correctly guess things so win win). 

If I am right about what happens in part 2 it is high key freaky the parallels between JJ and Bella's pasts involving their parents. My jaw literally dropped when I realized it. So ya know, that's fun. 

So look forward to long chapters, mushy gushy cute little moments between JJ and Bella, some emotional turmoil, lots of parental issues, and of course treasure.

I love writing Bella and JJ, and I am incredibly motivated to do so because of y'alls comments. Please know that is my favorite thing in the world, please comment! Thank y'all so much for reading my little fic about my favorite characters in the world. Bella has been one of my favorite OCs so far and JJ is just such an amazing character and deserves all the love~

In case you were wondering I made all the little chapter vibe images on canva! It was something new I was trying, did we like them? I feel like OBX is such a visual show that I thought it would be fun to add my own version to help y'all see what I'm seeing in my head!

P.S. forewarning if they do some bullshit like they did in Umbrella Academy s4, or kill JJ just know that I will be taking heavy creative liberties and changing anything I dislike. I do not trust Netflix right now so just wanted to give y'all a heads up. If they hurt my baby I will be ignoring it entirely.
