A few days have passed, and today was finally the full moon ceremony. I was both excited and nervous. I would be able to strengthen my wolf today. She's been quiet, and because of living in the human world, I hardly ever shifted to free her. I can get to communicate with her, and I'm sure she'll be mad at me as I ignored her throughout the years for trying not to look crazy.

When we are in our wolf form, we are not able to communicate; we only communicate through a mind link with our pack. Wolves don't talk, but because of the connection we have with our wolves, we are able to communicate and understand each other in order to know how to be in perfect sync as your wolf. If you're not connected with your wolf, there's a possibility that you die or your wolf dies.

I quickly brush my teeth and wash my face. I wanted to go to the training area, to exercise and gain a bit of strength before the ceremony. Remembering my last ceremony, regaining strength from the moon goddess takes a toll on your body, so a bit of muscle strength can properly take in the energy in my body.

I wear my gym clothes, grab a towel, and a bottle of water. Tying my hair in a messy bun, I head to the gym.

"Honey, where are you off to?" My dad asks as I was about to leave the house.

"Gym," I simply reply.

"Aren't you going to eat before you leave?"

"I'm not really hungry at the moment. I'll see you when I'm back." I smile and wave as I leave. I stretch my legs for a few seconds before jogging to the gym, which was about a 5-10 minute walk depending on how quickly you are.

The gym wasn't packed, which I was really thankful for. I forgot to bring my cap to avoid making eye contact with anyone. My life in the pack wasn't as bad as it was; I had many friends growing up, but after leaving, I disconnected from a lot of people because they thought my choice of leaving was really poor.

After 30 minutes on the treadmill, I pause it and get off, taking a seat on the floor, grabbing my towel and water bottle. I wipe the little sweat off my face and drink some water. I see a familiar man with silver/white hair as I could only see his back. I see Xeno and Santiago approach him and they have a conversation before they leave.

Who is that guy?

He must be one of the warriors or something. I get back into training, wondering why I was so curious about him. After two hours in the gym, I had to go home to shower so I could freshen up. There was still time before the ceremony, and I wanted to help out as much as I can. After the ceremony, we all sit around a bonfire while we eat and rejoice. It brings us closer. Aside from being in pain, this was the one time every year where you get to know people.

I go to the main pack house, as that's where a lot of stuff gets prepared. The main house wasn't far from mine, so I'm glad I don't have to do much walking as my legs felt like they were about to give up. I see a lot of kids playing around the main house, guessing a lot of parents were here to help out. I passed the field where I saw Santiago with the young pups who will be shifting for the first time.

A first-time shift is so painful and really unbearable; you feel like you could die. Every bone in your body is breaking to adjust to the wolf transformation. After that, you pass out for a while since the body and mind are exhausted. It's painful yet fulfilling; others take time to shift into their wolf while others start at an early age.

Remembering our young alpha who shifted at the age of 10, I was really young during that time, so I don't remember much. I just heard stories from other people about how impressive it was. The first time I shifted, I passed out for 2 days; my parents were worried that I died. My wolf was so small, which was unbelievable to a lot of people. It wasn't normal, as pups shift at a normal size.

Walking into the main pack house, there were so many people; it was suffocating because there wasn't much room to move around. I bumped into what felt like a huge wall, rubbing my forehead, and I looked up to see that silver-haired man I saw at the river.

"Sorry," I apologized, knowing that I was the one not focusing on where I was headed.

"Alpha Sirius, we ensured that there are enough guards at the borders," Xeno exclaimed as he spoke to the man.

Alpha? I didn't remember our alpha having silver hair. I looked at the man who looked down on me without saying a word and just walked around me with Xeno.

"Ally," Addilynn called out as she was helping with the cooking.

"Aren't you supposed to be resting? You are almost due," I ask her as I make my way to her.

"Here you go," she hands me a large bowl filled with potatoes. "Please peel these for me, and I'm fine. I wanted to help out instead of lounging around at home while others are busy."

"You sure your mate knows about this? He might be really worried," I ask her.

"Well, I didn't really tell him I'd be here." We both laugh as I start peeling the potatoes.

"Anyway, I didn't know we had a new alpha. I thought it would have been passed down to Alpha Garrison's son." I ask her wondering who that man was.

"What do you mean, that's Alpha Garrison's son." she explained. I laugh at her as she gave me a confused look.

"No ways, I don't remember Alpha Garrison's son had silver hair." I tell her.

"You don't remember do you?"

"Remember..what?"

"When Alpha Sirius shifted into his wolf, his hair colour changed to the same colour as his wolf. He has some rare power that was never disclosed to the pack and after he shifted he was sent away and only came back the sametime as you left. We were still young when it happened, so I'm not surprised you don't remember this."

"I really don't know much about what's been happening in the pack, huh?"

"I mean you were never in people's business or even asked questions to what's happening so it's understandable why you don't know what's going on around here. You were always in your own world."

"So does he have a mate?" I ask her filled with curiosity.

"Nope, but I heard that his father decided to marry him off to Cecilia Beckenham if he doesn't find a mate by tonight." She says.

"You kidding right? Cecelia as our Luna. No way in hell." I say horrified by the image of that.

"Well there's nothing we can do about it. I mean he's growing old and his father wants an heir." She proceeded to explain.

"But why her off all people?" I ask biterly.

"She's the strongest out of all females in the pack and they think they would have baby that would make one heck of a strong alpha."

I might not be able to stop this from happening, but I'm glad I won't stay to watch it happen. I should leave as soon as the ceremony is over. I have over stayed my welcome, maybe this time will ask the alpha to let me go. Hopefully I could still live a normal life as a rogue. Hopefully.
