Fates Intertwined

Nine

I shoved anything I would need in my back pack, I know the rest of my stuff were in my apartment, but I did not have time to pack everything I brought with me. I wear one of my favourite black hoodie and sweat pants that are comfortable enough to move around quickly with. I wear the shirt Alpha Sirius borrowed me underneath to mask my scent underneath.

I try to quickly tip toe out of the house without making a noise. Being surrounded wolves meant anything can trigger them. A pin drop could just wake any of them. I did not have a plan to escape, my only hope was not to get caught. I throw the back pack over my shoulder and finally manage to leave the house without getting caught.

It was so dark, although it was easier to see,  unlike normal human beings it would have been harder to see through the forest. I finally find myself at the river, i drop my back pack on the ground and shift into my human form. I pour water all over my face and take a breather. I was naked , felt exposed to the watchful eyes of the night. I quickly change into my wolf and grab my bag.

I managed to jump the boarders without getting detected. After hours of running I manage to get to my apartment, it was 3am in the morning. I grab my suitcase and shove all my clothes and search for my passport. What I was doing was very cowardly of me, but I was ready. I book a flight to Japan with no return flight. Taking a moment and a deep breath before leaving my apartment.

Luckily, yesterday I had sent my resignation. I promised Mr Moore I'd come see him on his retirement party, but I don't think I'll be able to say goodbye to him. I request an uber as I wait outside my building. I seemed more impatient as I waited.

"Triton, what are we doing out here at 4 in the morning?" I hear a man speak.

"I don't know." The other person named Triton simply replies. I ignore the voices coming my way as they were nearer.

My heart starts pounding into my chest. I smell A very familiar scent as the men approached my way. It was so intoxicating like when I found out I was mates with Alpha Sirius, yet it was so different.

It can't be. My mind fogged with thoughts. I take a deep breath in to inhale the scent again to check if I was wrong or hallucinating.

Mate. Mate. Mate. My wolf, Athena howled. I look at the direction the men were approaching and I froze in shock as one of the men stared at me possessive.

"Mate." His eyes darkened as he walked closer to me. "She was right." He mumbled under his breath.

"This can't be right." I said stumbling back in shock. How could this even happen.

"What do you mean? You are my mate." He said as he looked at me confused.

"No," I said softly as I looked backed at him. "I already have a mate."

He looks taken back as I mentioned I have a mate. He looks at the guy he was with and looked back at me again confused. The realization that I have a second mate, is something incredibly rare and unheard of.

"Come with me," He commanded, in an alpha authority that was evident in his voice.

"No," I said softly, my voice trembling. I was in panick mode. I was scared and afraid of the situation that was happening right now. "I don't know you," I said to him as my voice wavering grappling with the shock of this unexpected revelation.

The man expression softened, which was an unexpected surprise. He took a step closer, his eyes filled with a mix of determination and understanding. "I am Alpha Triton Knightley, of the Blood thorn Pack. I don't know what's going right now but you have to come with me as we figure out what's happening right now, But right now, it's not safe for you to be out here."

My heart raced as I stood before the stranger who claimed to be my mate. My mind was a whirlwind of confusion and fear. This can't be happening. Exactly how is this happening. So much was going through my mind. I took a cautious step back, my voice trembling as i tried to make sense of the situation, before finally making a decision.

"Fine, I'll go with you." I said in a quiet tone as I looked at the floor.

At this point I felt like I had no choice. There was no running, there's no turning back. It's time I face the problem unfolding right before my eyes. Although I am consumed with fear. I didn't know what to do or who to turn too. I definitely knew I have to find the truth because having two mates was impossible especially two alphas.

I quietly followed the two strangers, one of them who is my mate. My fear couldn't escape me. I was afraid. I could feel Athena felt conflicted too, torn between the two bonds. She was also confused. I looked at Alpha Triton, who had a bewildered expression. His gaze so intense gaze, he looked confused as I did.

I knew that the road ahead would be difficult and filled with uncertainty. This was going to be one heck of a rollercoaster and I'm even more afraid what I'll be facing.
