"Mr. Moore," I say, opening his office door.

"Miss Allison, please come in." I walk in, closing the door behind me. "Please take a seat."

"Mr. Moore, thank you for granting me leave," I say, looking at the old man with gray hair yet so handsome at his age. Mr. Moore was the greatest person I've ever worked for—a very kind-hearted man who reminded me so much of my grandfather.

"It's not a problem; I can imagine how your parents are feeling right now that you are coming to see them after so many years," Mr. Moore says.

"I know," I say with a small smile. "I came to say goodbye; I'll be back for your retirement party. I'm sad that you'll be leaving us."

"I'm getting old, Miss Allison. I want to enjoy the rest of the years living and loving my wife," he says, and I softly chuckle and smile as I get up to leave the office.

I take a bus as it will be a 5-hour drive. Upon my arrival, I call an Uber, and the driver helps me put my suitcase in the trunk as I get in the back seat. It's going to be an hour before arriving. I didn't specifically tell my parents when I'm coming, so they aren't expecting me home today.

"Miss, we've arrived." My heart starts beating faster as I look at the big gate we parked in front of. I thank the driver and walk out of the car, taking my suitcase from his hands as he drives off.

"State your name," the guard asks, looking at me with a serious expression.

"Allison... Allison Dalton," I tell him, trembling.

"State your business?"

"I'm here to visit my parents."

"SPEAK UP," he shouts, startling me. I don't understand the need for him to shout at me as he has super hearing. I blankly stare at him before telling him again.

"Allison." A male voice calls me from behind the scary man. The guard and I turn to look at the man.

"Allison Dalton, wow, it's been a while. Stand down Ryder. Let her in; she's part of our pack." The large gates open, and I walk in, looking at Xeno, who has a huge smile yet a surprised expression on his face.

We live in a gated community; a lot of packs live in gated communities as it's private and wouldn't be disturbed by humans or the outside world. The moment I walked in, the fear I had could not leave me. After so many years, here I was back at the place I avoided.

"Xenny, how've you been?" I ask. Xeno Cradle, the pack's third-in-command and the guy I had a huge crush on.

"I've been great; it's been good. Wow, it's been a while. Can't believe you're here. Are you finally back?"

"No, I'm just here to visit my parents," I tell him, and he frowns but quickly hides his expression. I could tell he wasn't happy about that.

"Well, I hope you have a good visit." I thank him, and he walks away, leaving me all alone. I sigh as I start to walk to the pack house.

We have 5 pack houses to accommodate werewolves who don't have families and a few families who prefer living with other people. The reason I left was the fact that I lived with other families. I liked my own space, but I didn't want to burden my parents by asking them to build a house of their own, knowing they wouldn't be able to afford it.

After walking for about 15 minutes, I finally arrive at the pack house and I open the door and walk in, greeted by a few members who are scattered around the house. A lot of them are surprised to see me. I awkwardly smile as I walk in further. I see my mom and dad sitting in the dining room, chatting with other people.

"Mom, dad," I smile, and they both look up, shocked to see me. My dad is the first to stand as he rushes and hugs me, lifting me from the ground.

"Sweetie, when did you get here?" Mom questions as she hugs me.

"Well, not so long ago," I tell them.

"You could have told us you were coming today. We could have come and picked you up," my dad says.

"It's okay, dad. I wanted to surprise you two." After greeting and chatting for a bit, my mom leads me to a room. As I enter, it still looks the same as I left. I lay on my bed, looking up at the white ceiling, and I close my eyes to rest just a few minutes before going back downstairs.

I finally get the energy to go greet the rest of the pack. I'm feeling nervous yet happy to be surrounded by people filled with love, well some of them. I leave the house to go take a walk and greet other pack members.

"Ally," I hear a female voice call out from a distance. Looking around, I see a pregnant woman rushing to me.

"Addy," a smile beams on my face as I run in her direction.

"Addilynn, careful," a man shouts at her from behind.

"Allison, oh my gosh. I can't believe you're here. I didn't believe Xeno when he told me he saw you," she says excitingly, giving me a big hug as tears start streaming down her cheeks.

"Addilynn, look at you. You're so beautiful, you're glowing Addy," I tell her, looking at her big belly. Addilynn Jackson, my best friend since middle school.

"It's been so long; I've missed you so much," she says, crying. I look at Santiago standing behind her with a concerned look.

"Lynn, my love, are you okay?"

"You guys are—"

"Mates." She nods with a huge smile on her face as she turns to look at him, and he gives her a small kiss on her cheek.

"When? How? When are you expecting? I've missed so much," I tell her with a small pout on my lips.

"I have so much to tell you." She links my arm with hers as she leads the way. "Santi, you must have work to do. Go ahead; I'll be safe."

"Are you sure?" He asks her.

"I'm fine, I promise. I love you."

"Okay, I'll see you soon. It was nice seeing you, Allison. Let's catch up soon." I nod, waving goodbye as we watch him leave.

"So, tell me everything. Don't leave a single detail out."
