Tord's POV
"How long do you guys take!? I'm already ready to go." I complained to Patryk who was on the edge of a panic attack. He threw stuff to the perfect light wooden floor with shaky hands. "SOON BOSS! I-I CAN'T FIND MY CROSSBOW!!!" His attempt to stay calm was really shitty. I rolled my eyes and raised my left hand that held his beautifully detailed weapon. "You gave it to me, so you could tie up your leather boots, fucking dumbass" I snorted and threw the crossbow to Patryk's arms. "Oh, yeah, I forgot, sorry." He hugged his bow with wet eyes. "C'mon, let's go." I ordered and opened the door to outside where mine and Paul's eyes met. He threw his smoke to the ground, stepping on it a few times. "Which section are we going to hunt from?" He asked with a chough. "B." I answered shortly and started walking towards the green hills. "That's my favorite area!" Patryk noted with a cheerful tone. It's been a while since I have paid a visit to the hills. That's because of the venomous snakes that nests there. They actually look like rose vines with thorns but when I step near them they will strike towards me without mercy. They are fast as hawks and aggressive as piranhas. I'm not scared of them, they are just a huge pain in the ass when I'm trying to hunt huge dragons.
We walked on wet and slippery leaves in difficult terrain which caused Patryk to slip but thankfully Paul, who was behind him, caught him. They looked at each other for a moment before Patryk started laughing nervously. "Don't hurt yourself. I'm not gonna carry you back to the base." I huffed to him and cut some branches in front of me. They looked so bare with their wet almost black stems. "Don't worry, Paul will surely carry me back." Patryk joked and took some support from his crossbow. "In your dreams." Paul mumbled. After saying that he snatched Patryk's crossbow and took his arm. He swung it to his left shoulder so he could support Patryk's walking better. "Knowing you, you would accidentally shoot yourself by using it that way." Paul bridled. "Are you two flirting in our hunting session?" My voice interrupted their conversation. They raised their clueless eyes to meet mine. I had stopped walking and turned to those two older guards behind me.
"Not like it would really bother me but don't turn my hunting session into a make out session." I snorted and turned my back to them but I could sense their embarrassment. "It was a joke. I know you two don't have anything going on." I burst into laughter and continued my way to the wet wooden stairs that led their way down the hill. "Watch out, the stairs are slippery. Also look out for the snakes. They usually go to stupor when the autumn starts but you can't be too careful, right?" I hummed at the two soldiers behind me while taking a tight grip from the oak railing. I felt how the sticks that pointed out from the crude railing poked my black leather gloves. Thank god I got them. "You are right." Paul confirmed proudly.
As we came down the stairs I started noticing that the clouds above us started getting darker and the air felt heavier. "Umm...boss, I think the clouds are gonna start crying soon." Patryk called while licking his index finger and raising it. "The wind is getting stronger." He sounded a bit worried. "A storm is coming." Paul sighed. "Well at least you two bought the tent so we don't need to worry." I waved my hand to Paul and Patryk as I waited for some sort of confirmation, but it didn't come. "Right?" I turned around just to face two nervous soldiers. Paul looked at the sky and tapped his left feet to the ground while Patryk stared at the ground as he started humming. "Don't say that you guys did not take it with you." My heart started pounding faster as I started to realize that we didn't have any place where we could sleep or rest.
I closed my eyes, took a deep breath and started just screaming. "YOU GUYS GOTTA BE KIDDING ME! I LITERALLY JUST SAID THAT REMEMBER TO TOOK A SLEEPING BAGS AND A TENT WITH YOU BEFORE WE LEFT!!! THIS TRIP IS GONNA BE A LONG ONE DID YOU TWO IDIOTS THOUGHT THAT YOU WOULD SURVIVE WITHOUT SLEEPING!!!? IT TAKES 12 HOURS TO EVEN GET THERE AND WE ARE JUST BARELY OVER THE HALFWAY!!!" I huffed and leaned to the wet tree.
