Act IX: Silmirnil Will Not Rise

Ages passed and the land forgot
All that happened in times gone by
Dragons were myths from storybooks
For they no longer ruled the sky

But Alduin was not destroyed
Nor was his seething wrath forgot
At last, he comes again to Nirn
His eyes like flaming coals glow hot

Again, he seeks to find the one
Who once had made his dark heart whole
When dragons ruled the skies of Nirn
To her alone he pledged his soul

But when he sights the lonely place
Where she was laid to rest in death
He forgets what she begged of him
Before she drew her final breath

He calls her name and bids her rise
Again, he cites the oath she swore
His heart of hatred has not changed
She will not follow anymore

Thus Silmirnil the Shining One
Refused to heed and wake
And Alduin did mourn again
For his lost lover's sake

She never would return to him
Although she loved him more than life
For he was filled with wrath and pride
And would cause only pain and strife
