(SokkaXReader) Taken Prisoner

New Best Bud

You started getting pushed back by the wind, "Aang?!" You shouted out as you saw him, he was floating off  the ground, eyes and tattoos glowing. You reached Katara, "What happened?!" 

She pointed over to where Aang favorite mentors skeleton sat. Your heart sank seeing it, you looked up at Aang. Stepping as close as you could. 

"Aang come down! Please!" The wind pushed hard against you, "Please Aang you need to take a deep breath! You are going to blow someone off the island!" He faced you, his glowing eyes staring into you, a tear ran down his face. You opened your arms for him. 

He sank down from the air and you rushed to him and wrapped him in your arms. "I've got you bud..." You muttered to him. 

You had to carry him back to Appa, the whole thing had exhausted him. Sokka had managed to catch up, "What happened?!" His arms were full of more things he had found. 

You floated up and set Aang down, "He saw something he never should have had to see..."

You helped Sokka and Katara up onto Appa, helping Sokka with all the stuff he found. 

"Sokka you can't just take that stuff." Katara scolded. 

"It's alright, I'm happy he thought to." You shared a smile with Sokka. The two of you looking through what he found. All of a sudden you heard a chirping sound, you stood up, looking around. 

You made eye contact with a lemur, "Oh my god... Hi buddy!" The lemur took off, "Wait no!" You cashed after it without a second thought. Katara called after you but you yelled that you would be right back. Hoping from pile of rumble to the next to try and catch it, when finally it stopped, realizing it was in a corner. 

"Ha! Now come here little buddy- I don't want to hurt you." You crouched and shuffled closer, your hand out stretched. It leaned a bit closer to sniff your hand, then it leaned against your hand and you pet it. "See? I'm friendly." 

You floated back onto Appa's back, scaring Sokka, he yelled and tumbled back. You laughed and the lemur chirped on your shoulder. 

"You caught it!" Katara said happily. 

"Great! You found dinner!" Sokka said as he came closer. 

"Absolutely not! You are not eating him!"

"Awwwww" 

"So what's his name then?" Katara asked as she fixed the blanket on Aang. 

"hmm... I think Momo works well." Momo chirped happily and hoped off your shoulder. 

"How cute!" Katara said. 

After a while Aang got up, he looked drained. You were sitting on the other side of the basket with Momo infront of you as you played with him. 

"A lemur?!" Aang said excitedly. 

"His name is Momo!" You picked him up and held him out infront of you. "He is now my best bud."

Aang came over and smiled at Momo, "So this is who has taken my spot as best bud? Well I can't argue- he's too cute."

You both laughed, and the tension eased from everyone. You all joked around and played with Momo until Sokka's stomach growled.
