Sitting To Chat

Sokka's stomach growled and you all looked at him and laughed.

"Don't laugh at me! I haven't eaten yet-" He protested.

"I guess we should find some food." Aang said thinking where we might be able to go.

You and Katara looked at the two then at each other, both knowing and remembering that their Gran Gran had packed a decent bit of food for them. You motioned to the bag, she nodded. Aang and Sokka were now both looking at the map intently. Both you and Katara shuffled to the bag and quietly pulled out some of the rations. You and Katara sat and got comfortable and started munching while trying to not make it too obvious that something was going on.

"Ok- so where do you two think we should go? Cause I'm starving and I think we should head over here- but Aang suggests we head-" Sokka turned and stared at you two.

You and Katara were happily sitting with a small bit of rations, quietly chatting, her legs set over top of yours. You looked at Sokka, "I dunno man, where ever you think is best." You gave a huge smile and took a bite of food.

"How?! What?! Why aren't you sharing?!" Sokka protested, clearly confused on where the food came from.

You and Katara laughed, "We never said we wouldn't share Sokka- Gran Gran packed us some food and we just remembered that we had it." Katara said as she opened the bag and pulled some out for the two.

As they started munching down Katara looked over to you and smiled, "I think we are going to be great friends."

"Agreed." You gave each other a fist bump.

It wasn't long before you were up in the air again, you decided to keep looking through and cleaning up what was grabbed from the temple. Pulling out the small charm you had found you carefully untied the bracelet you made on your ankle and slipped it on. Three small swirls wrapping around each other, carved on a small orange piece of rock that was pretty common near the temple. You tied it back onto your ankle and stared at it.

You looked up when Sokka shifted across the saddle and sat next to you, "Hey... I'm sorry you had to see your home like that- I saw how Aang reacted..."

You focused back down at a tattered cloth, "Ya... it's a bit weird thinking about it. I mean... It's been a hundred years- but to us-" You looked over to Aang who was steering Appa. "It's been maybe a week."

He looked over at Aang and then back to you, and there was a long moment of silence. "Hey... if you ever need to I don't know- talk to someone about that stuff. I could lend a ear- you since- Aang's younger and everything- plus he's go the whole Avatar thing going on-"

You smiled at him, "Thanks... I really appreciate that- but I'm all good. I'm more worried about Aang."

"Are you sure? I mean- I can't relate that big but when Katara and I lost our mother... we weren't the same. I just- can't imagine loosing everything like that."
