"WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU JUST SAY?!" Jiang Cheng's voice boomed through the halls of Lotus Pier when he saw the scene playing out in front of him, one that would make his eyes go wide with surprise had they not been filled with fury.

The shameless couple in front of him were acting all lovey dovey and he couldn't help but noticed that his martial brother's neck was like a freaking map of hickeys on it.

"I said," Wei Wuxian said, taking pleasure in his brother's growing expression of shock. He proudly patted Lan Wangji's chest and declared once again, "He is my husband now."

Jiang Cheng echoed, "Husband?"

"How many times I must repeat myself??" Wei Wuxian groaned. "Yes, husband!"

Jiang Cheng was rendered speechless. He stood there, jaw slack open and eyes blown wider than saucers, trying to process what his brother was telling him.

Jiang Yanli who was beside him had the same reaction , she too staring at the two men with an expression between delight, embarrassment and confusion. Her hand had covered her mouth in attempt to hold back her shock.

Jiang Cheng, for his part, looked like his brain was melting. When he finally found enough words to speak, the only thing that came out was, "You're joking right?"

"Nope!" Wei Wuxian said with a grin, like he had won a grand prize, "We're married."

"What... What the fuck..." Jiang Cheng's mind raced as he struggled to figure out how to process what his brother was telling him. The Yiling Patriarch had tied a knot with the renowned Hanguang-jun and the most stoic person in the world of cultivation? Absolutely unbelievable!  He demanded, "How?? How can you be married?"

"Ah," Wei Wuxian scratched the back of his head, embarrassed, "We prostrated at the ancestral hall last night."

Jiang Cheng groaned loudly, throwing his hands up into the air in exasperation, "Just like that??"

"Well yeah," Wei Wuxian blinked owlishly at his brother as if it were obvious. "Isn't marriage supposed to be simple?"

"No! You idiot!" Jiang Cheng cried out, his face turning red with anger. How could something this ridiculous happen in his sect?! This was going to cause problems. And he already had plenty on his plate! he yelled, his voice cracking. "Why are you always so fucking impulsive?"

"Well, it just happened." Wei Wuxian replied simply, "And I have no regrets." His answer made Lan Wangji's lips twitched upwards and the sight caused Wei Wuxian to giggle in giddy joy.

Jiang Cheng had a very strong urge to pull his own hair out in frustration. He pinched the bridge of his nose in an effort to calm himself down. He glared at Wei Wuxian who looked unrepentant, acting all chummy with his husband, while also ignoring his turmoils.

"Look, you idiot!" Jiang Cheng yelled, "What would his uncle say?? You just eloped with his precious nephew??" He said, pointing at Lan Wangji.

Wei Wuxian shrugged carelessly, "Lan Zhan wanted it too." He looked up at Lan Wangji and gave him the sweetest smile, "Right, husband?"

"Mn." Lan Wangji replied simply, smiling down at him fondly.

The effect it had on Jiang Cheng was quite comical. It took everything in him to keep himself from banging his head to the wall in hope that he could wake up from this nightmare. Instead, he turned to his sister who was still looking quite amused, "Jie, say something."

"Oh, yes, I should." Jiang Yanli said, a smile played on her lips as she continued, "Congratulations A-Xian, Hanguang-jun! You two look happy together." She looked almost as if she was trying to suppress her giggles.

Wei Wuxian laughed, "Thank you, Shijie!"

"Jie!" Jiang Cheng whined loudly.

"What, A-Cheng? It is a happy occasion," Yanli grinned, her face lit up with joy as she said, "They look good together, shouldn't we be happy for them?

Jiang Cheng facepalmed, groaning in distress. Why did his family insist on being like this!? He shot daggers towards Wei Wuxian as he spoke through his clenched jaws, "This is a marriage! Not a bloody courtship! How can you be so rash about it! Don't you know how serious this is?!"

"Of course we do. We wouldn't do it if we were not serious." Wei Wuxian said, rolling his eyes at his brother before he smirked, "It's called love."

"Love, my ass! This cannot get any worse." Jiang Cheng mumbled, before turning to his sister. "Should we kick him out of our clan before things go south?"

"Aiya, A-Cheng," Jiang Yanli shook her head, patting Jiang Cheng's shoulder to calm him down a little, "They already prostrated. They are husbands now. There's nothing more we can do but to give them support. That is what family for."

"Yeah! And we already consummated our marriage too!" Wei Wuxian added shamelessly. "So, nothing you say will make a difference anymore."

Jiang Cheng's soul almost flew to heaven, but somehow, he managed to refrain from shrieking like a banshee. He felt like screaming vulgarities at the couple. Or hitting his forehead against a pillar or something. Maybe both. Both options sounded very appealing to him at the moment.  He closed his eyes and counted to ten. When he was done, his gaze landed on Lan Wangji who was looking at Wei Wuxian without a care in the world, as if nothing was wrong. He couldn't help but asked, "Hanguang-jun, why did you agree to this? Did he force you to marry him?"

Lan Wangji's face remained perfectly calm, "No. Wei Ying did not force me."

"Then, why are you doing it? Do you even realize what you have gotten yourself into here?" Jiang Cheng asked, genuinely wondering if Lan Wangji was in his right mind.

"Yes. Because I wanted to marry Wei Ying. " Was the simple reply that came forth after. He paused as if considering his next words carefully before saying them out loud, "I love Wei Ying.

"Huh?" Jiang Cheng asked, entirely baffled with the public love confession that was uttered with an impassive face.

Wei Wuxian chirped in, totally delighted with that answer, "Aww, Lan Zhan!" he sounded like he was purring, nuzzling his nose affectionately against Lan Wangji's cheek. "You really love me, huh?"

"Mn." Lan Wangji responded by drawing him even closer to his side, holding him tightly.

That was all Jiang Cheng needed to see for him to break away from the scene completely. "I can't deal with this shit. I'm going to vomit." He muttered under his breath before stomping towards his study, grumbling to himself the entire time.

Jiang Yanli chuckled before turning her attention back towards the two men who appeared oblivious to anything else around them. She couldn't look at them for long as their intimate displays of affection made her blushed. She then excused herself , leaving the two alone together, not before glancing at them one last time and giving them another radiant smile.

Lan Xichen was seated at one of the tables situated at the entrance, a cup of tea in front of him and a book in his left hand.

"Sect Leader Lan, there is an urgent letter for you." One of the disciples announced, holding the envelope respectfully in front of Lan Xichen.

"Thank you." Xichen hummed in response, nodding to the disciple to dismiss him. He pulled out the letter from its confines and read through it swiftly and almost immediately, he let out a gasp of astonishment. His mouth was agape at the revelation he had received. He did not see it coming. His little brother had married or more accurately, eloped with Wei Wuxian!

He had always known that his brother had some sort of infatuation for Wei Wuxian, but he had never expected this type of level of infatuation. He never anticipated that Lan Wangji would be this impulsive. He picked up his tea and sipped on it, contemplating what to do about this.

Should he tell his uncle about the affair? He pondered, thinking hard about his reactions. He didn't want the elder to fly into a rage and vomit blood with the unexpected news. He knew very well that his uncle wasn't actually fond of Wei Wuxian. He sighed deeply, as he mumbled, "Oh Wangji, you really had landed your poor brother into hot water now."
