Chapter Twenty-four

I was walking in the halls of our school and I could feel every stinky eye on me as I walk pass them. My black stilettos echoed behind me even though the halls were crowded. Then I felt the fabric of my dress with my hand and realized that it was fur and as white as snow. Yes, I was wearing a white fur dress. And I didn’t even bother to care about the people staring at me; they would just die of jealousy over me. I went straight to my locker only to spot him.

I raised my Dior sunglasses on top of my head which I just noticed I was wearing. Then I approached Cupid in a seductive catwalk. I saw how his eyes bulged as I stood before him but I didn’t care. I don’t even know where I got this sudden boldness.

I held his gaze and I wrapped my arms around his neck as I pulled him closer to me.

“Hey, remember me?” I asked and I saw sweat run down his face. I wiped it away with a manicured finger and I met his shocked eyes with my hot gaze. He looked away immediately.

A playful laugh broke out of my lips. It felt not mine. “I’m that girl who has that huge crush on you.”

He faced me this time and he flashed me his signature smirk.

*BOGSH*

That’s when dawn came to me and I felt myself fall down.

Funny and weird because it was still morning and I was day dreaming. And to where exactly was I; seriously don’t ask it would add to my downfall.

“Did you just fall?” Cupid went back to the kitchen after he left to get something from his room.

I laughed awkwardly.  “Me?” I scoffed. “Of course, not. I just attacked the floor.”

His eyebrows met. “Backwards?”

I noticed that after I fell off the counter, my feet were still hanging upwards while half of my body was on the floor.

I gave him a sarcastic smile. “No. I’m just freaking talented.”

He nodded as a smile crossed his face. Oh how I just love to see that smile even though it could melt me.

“I thought you got something from your room?” I said as I changed the subject.

“I did.” He said as he crouched on the floor near me.

I frowned at him as it was obvious that he had not brought anything.

“So where is it?”

“I think I forgot that I already got everything. And it’s right here.” he said as he looks closely at me.

I blinked and I sat up straight. Too bad I hit my head again on a chair as I tried to evade him. Why can’t you avoid being so clumsy, Psyche?

Whoa! Clumsy ‘cause I’m falling in love. Now I sound like Fergie’s song.

I laughed awkwardly again as I smoothed my head. “You are so corny.”

He smiles as he stands up and offers his hand to help me get up. “I’m only corny when I’m with you.”

I scoffed. “Aish… What have you eaten?” I touched his forehead and he looks at me like he loves it.

I shook my head. “You are drop dead sick.” Then I took his hand to stand up.

“Not mad?” he asks.

“Not yet.” I prompted.

“But I seem to be going there.” He said and my hairs went up. *shivers*
