Outburst

Marco woke up. Tomorrow was the day he'd avenge the fallen of Echo Creek. He didn't even know if anyone was alive. Not Janna, not Jackie, not anybody. He knew at least some of them were dead and he was struggling to cope with each passing minute. He'd just cry sometimes not knowing if anyone he knew was safe. It was hell.

"How's the armour fit?" Toffee asked.

"Like a glove" Marco responded.

"Good. I hope you're ready. The fallen of Echo Creek are depending on you to restore justice and kill the Queen"

"I-I'll try."

"They're counting on you, Marco. Be sure you're ready"

"I will"

"Star... is it worth even still trying...?" Kelly asked as they trudged through the Forest Of Certain Death.

"If there's even a chance Marco is still alive I gotta take it. No matter what"

"Star... if Marco was still around here, wouldn't he show up already? He might be off world" Tom mentioned.

"He didn't take his scissors. He has to be on this planet!"

"Star... I think it's about time we trust Marco to come home by himself..." Ponyhead said sadly.

"No! No, we can't just give up on him! What if he's injured!? What if he's found dead from his injuries because we all decided to call it a day!? You can't be serious guys!" Star said desperately.

"Star. All this searching is taking its toll on us. That means you, too" Janna said sadly.

"So... you're just gonna abandon our friend!?" Star said in tears.

"Star... how about we go to the Underworld, I make us some cocoa and we cuddle on the couch. How about that?" Tom asked nicely.

"No." Star said bluntly.

"Star..."

"I will not abandon Marco, Tom. He's my best friend"

"He's clearly more than that..." he grumbled.

"W-What?" Star asked.

"Don't act coy with me, Star! I was there when he poured his heart out to you!" Tom said angrily.

The others gasped. They were stunned and dead silent.

"So what!? He had a crush on me! So we should just let him DIE" Star said with rage.

"I care about Marco too! It's just, we know he's not here! He's not anywhere on Mewni! So stop pretending you're helping this situation and start trying to take care of yourself!" Tom argued.

"P-Pretend? You son of a-"

"Guys! Guys! Let's just calm down okay!? Let's just call it quits for today..." Kelly said trying to diffuse the situation.

"Can it, Kelly! You dated Marco! I thought you'd care more if he's DEAD!" Star said angrily.

Kelly looked offended, Tad stepped in.

"Star, listen, you can't just-"

"You're a fucking wig! Why do I have to listen to you!?" Star asked cruelly.

"Star you're taking it too far..." Tom began.

"Tom... guys... Marco is POSSIBLY DEAD! HOW ARE YOU ALL NOT AS CONCERNED AS I AM!?" Star shouted.

Ponyhead and Janna stayed silent, not wanting to get anywhere near that situation.

"WE ARE! YOU'RE JUST CIRCLING THE SAME AREA OVER AND OVER LIKE 'HEY GUYS! MARCO IS DEFINITELY NOT OVER HERE SO LET'S JUST GO OVER THERE ANYWAY!' STAR ITS OVER! MARCO ISN'T ON MEWNI SO YOU NEED TO PACK IT IN AND STOP OVERWORKING YOURSELF!!!" Tom replied angrily.

"MARCO IS ALIVE AND HERE, TOM! HE COULDN'T HAVE LEFT HE DOESN'T HAVE HIS FUCKING SCISSORS!!! YOU SAY HE'S YOUR BEST FRIEND BUT YOU CAN'T BE BOTHERED TO SEE IF HE IS ALIVE? YOU'RE SOME MAN, TOM!!!"

"I AM A MAN!!! I MAKE THE TOUGH CALLS LIKE WHEN MY GIRLFRIEND IS GONNA DIE OF EXHAUSTION FROM LOOKING AROUND FOR HER SECOND BOYFRIEND!!!" Tom said enraged.

"MARCO IS TWICE, NO, THRICE THE MAN YOU'LL EVER BE!!! HE WOULD SEARCH THE ENDS OF THE EARTH IF YOU WENT MISSING!!!" Star shouted in pure rage.

Tom felt his hands burst into flames but took deep breaths to calm down.

"Star. We care about you. Even if you're being irrational right now. We know it's because you're hurt. You miss Marco, and so do we. But this? Arguing, searching high and low countless times? It isn't helping"

"I know... and I'm sorry everyone... I just don't know much more of this I can handle..."

"We get it, Star. We really do. We're not giving up on Marco. We know he's alive. He's the strongest boy we know. He punched an immortal lizard, he rides a dragon cycle, and he got all the ladies. He's the embodiment of capable..." Tom said as he hugged Star.

"I-I can't do this anymore, Tom... I-I can't..." she whispered as she wept.

"Neither can we..."

"I-I know he's dead... I-I just won't say it..." she cried.

"Star. You and I both know that that boy is unkillable"

"Sniff... yeah... he is pretty badass..."

"So... how about we finish this perimeter and we go home?"

"O-Okay..."

"Eclipsa... the chunks are at the bottom... You need to dip down to get to them..." Glossaryck said calmly.

"This is IMPOSSIBLE!!!" She said as she threw a book across the room.

"Calm, calm. You don't want to fly off the handle when doing magic"

"I'm not doing magic! I'm just being stupid!"

"You're not stupid, Queen Eclipsa. You just need to focus on what matters"

Eclipsa sighs as she sits down.

"Glossaryck... I'm worried..."

"Why is that, Queen Eclipsa?"

"Marco... I imagine he wants me dead..."

"Don't say that. The boy is sane"

"No, he's not. And it's my fault. Marco has full right to kill me"

"Marco wouldn't strip a mother away from a child. Marco wouldn't leave a man without a husband"

"How do you know?"

"Because he's mature enough to not hold a grudge"

"I-I killed so many! If his people... I destroyed his home"

"And Marco is intelligent enough to know two wrongs won't make a right"

"I'm powerless. He could kill me whenever"

"He could. But he won't"

"Are you so sure?"

"I am positive. Now back to dipping"

"Is everything ready, general?" Toffee asked his general.

"The great monster revolution is at hand, sir"

"And Marco?"

"As sharp as a tack and ready for revenge"
