"The day of glorious revolution is at hand, ladies and gentlemonsters! We have suffered for too long under the cruel dictatorship of the Butterfly monarchy! Today we take our rightful place in history as heroes of freedom!" Toffee called out to his endless swathes of soldiers.

The soldiers cheered as Marco watched them from the balcony. Marco walked away from the balcony and pulled up his dirty, destroyed hoodie's sleeve.

A black vein, coursing up his arm. Eclipsa's chapter was deadlier than he thought.

"Saddle your Warnicorns and I will give the order to begin our journey!" Toffee said to his soldiers.

Toffee went back inside the town hall and went upstairs. Marco quickly hid his wrist as Toffee entered.

"Glory awaits, Marco. Don't keep the souls of your people waiting"

"I'll... get my armour and my wand..."

...

"Okay, Tom. I'll see you later..." Star said as she ended the call on her mirror.

She went downstairs and ate the last of the sugar seeds. Damn. That was the last box. Star looked at the label again.

Hey, Star!
No touchy! This is MY box of Sugar Seeds! Do not eat! I repeat, do not eat! As I promised, if you eat this box, I will lace the next box I get with laxatives. Don't try me.

~ Marco xoxo

Star sighed as she read his handwriting. She missed him a lot. She just wished she could apologise for all the lies and his home. She wished...

...

Marco held on to Nachos, his dragon cycle, tightly as he rode him into the sun with all the other soldiers. He felt a little sick. Sick with hate. He was going to avenge all the dead humans on Earth. No matter what.

Toffee called all the warnicorns and Marco to stop.

"Above this hill... we will be visible to the watchful eye of the Butterflies. When we charge, we charge. Prepare yourself and your warnicorns and or dragon cycle.

CHARGE!!!"

The warnicorns and the soldiers on them charged the Monster Temple. People saw them in the distance and screamed.

"I'll handle the Queen, you handle the mortars!" Marco called out to Toffee,

"It's done then!"

Marco flew up using Nachos to land on the temple. The mortars were set up by the monsters and fired, destroying buildings and segments of the temple.

...

Eclipsa fell over as a mortar hit the temple. She was shocked and worried, so she grabbed Marco's scissors and sent Globgor and Meteora away.

"I-I need to see what's happening..." she said as another mortar pounded the walls of the temple.

Eclipsa made her way to the big mouth part of the temple, when suddenly...

Marco! He had swung into the mouth of the temple and was face to face with Eclipsa.

"M-MARCO?!"

"Ironic. First, it was Moon betraying you in this room. Now it's you betraying me. This room has seen its fair share of traitors, huh?" He said sinisterly.

He raised the wand to Eclipsa

"M-Marco... don't do this... I-I have a child... I have a husband!"

"So did others in Echo Creek you bastard! Now you'll know what it's like to-!"

BOOOOOOOM!!!

Star blasted Marco as hard as she could making him fall right out of the mouth of the temple.

Marco was caught by Nachos and Marco sent him away.

"We finally meet again, Star" Marco said. His voice was unrecognisable.

Star flew down the temple in her butterfly form like a graceful butterfly. She shone like a light in Marco's new dark life.

"Marco... Stop this. People are dying!" Star said, almost moved to tears.

"People died when Eclipsa destroyed my home, Star!" Marco said as Nachos picked him up, he flew to the top of the temple and looked out to make sure the troops had arrived. They had and were storming the city like ants.

"Marco... please..." Star said as she flew up.

Marco felt a raindrop hit his armour. The pathetic fallacy was set and it was about to go down. Their final showdown.

"I have been hurting for so long, Star. Eclipsa killing everyone I know was the last straw. She has to die"

"Marco... this isn't you. You need to come to your senses and come back to us... please!" Star pleaded.

The rain was pouring now. Each drop made a little 'tink!' Sound on his armour. Star was flying above him like some kind of god.

"I never wanted this. Any of this"

"Then help us stop Toffee, Marco! Please we care about you!"

"Echo Creek is in ruins, Star. People are dead. People you know. Oskar, Jackie, Ferg, Alfonso. They are all dead if they were in Echo Creek what part of this CAN'T YOU UNDERSTAND!?!?" Marco asked in rage.

"Marco Eclipsa made a mistake! She didn't know it was populated! Toffee is a monster! This isn't you!"

"..."

Marco pulled up his sleeve. The rain gently tapped Marco's face as he gripped the wand harder. He felt the side of his face sizzle from the raw energy emitting from his moon-shaped cheeks. He felt like he was... dying. He looked at his arms. The disgusting black cracks coursing up his arm. There were also a few pure streaks of glowing purple pulsating like veins across his arm. A sign of his overuse of the wand.

Marco wiped away some dark magic goo dripping from his mouth and looked over at the town below him. It was in ruins, in devastation. Houses lit up in flames, explosions tearing the town into pieces. The black smoke pluming from the ground.

Marco looked over at her slowly. Star took in Marco's appearance. His blackened cracked arms, his various cuts, his emitting cheek marks. It was all like some sort of freak show.

"You're here to kill me, aren't you?" He asked bluntly.

"W-What?" Star asked emotionally.

Star was holding back her flood of tears. The thought of Marco betraying the Butterfly Kingdom was too much for her to bear.
