Authors note: so I couldn't remember for the life of me if the Patil twins were in the same house. But I remember in the book Parvati is in Gryffindor and Padma is in Ravenclaw. For the purpose of this fan fic I'm going to go with what is true and canon purely because changing it doesn't add or subtract from the plot of this fanfic. With that being said I hope you enjoy!

The castle was silent and there were dim hues of moonlight drifting in through the windows and archways of the castle.

The third year girls dorm in Gryffindor tower was silent, part from the soft snores that radiated throughout the room. Lucianna was snuggled into her bed, her hair covering the pillows while she lay with her legs curled up towards her chest. Helios was fast asleep at the bottom the bed, tightly curled up. As the students slept, a single letter was slipped through the bottom of the door. Lucianna's name was written on it in beautiful cursive letters.

Lucianna was awoken by Helios nuzzling into her face; purring loudly in her eyes. "Morning my little baby," she mumbled while stroking the cat's head, making his purring grow louder. As the young girl tried to open her eyes, a voice started shouting at her.

Parvati, one of her roommates, came rushing over from the door waving a letter. "Lucianna! You have a valentines! It must be from Fred! That's so cute!" The girl screamed. Lucianna wasn't close friends with Parvati, but the two were friendly. Parvati seemed to spent most of her times with other friends as well as her twin sister who was in Ravenclaw.

"Thanks Parvati." Lucianna said, her voice still hoarse from sleep; as she sat up on her elbows she took the letter from Parvati. Not wanting to accidentally rip the letter in half, Lucianna carefully opened it. Yet, she took a minute to look at the hand writing. "This isn't Fred's handwriting." She blurted out, causing Hermione who was already up and dressed to turn round. "What?" She asked, sounding slightly harsh. "This isn't Fred's handwriting." She repeated.

Hermione sat down at the end of Lucianna's bed, her face full of confusion. As Lucianna opened the letter she was shocked at what she read.

Dearest Lucianna,
Happy valentines. I hope you have a wonderful day. I know that you are with someone now, but I thought by writing you this letter it could act as both a declaration and an apology.

Although I was not in my right mind, I am still deeply sorry for everything that happened. But, even now, I still have feelings for you. I don't expect you to reply but I just needed to apologise and to confess my feelings.

I hope one day we might be able to be friends, but I know that is but a dream.

Yours truly

Theodore Eric Nott x

Lucianna was stunned. She crumbled the letter and threw it. Hermione quickly picked it up and read it, "what the hell! Who does he think he is! I understand an apology but to say he has feelings! That's- that's unbelievable!" She shouted. Lucianna sighed, "I won't let him ruin today for me. I refuse." Lucianna jumped out of bed and began getting ready. She was so incredibly angry, yet at the same time she understood why Theodore would write today. He could easily of gotten one of the younger Gryffindors to take the letter and slip it under the door.

As Lucianna slipped on her uniform she made a point of putting her necklace on over her clothes so it was in eyesight if everyone. It was the one Fred had given her for Christmas and since then she had worn it everyday.

As she wandered out the room, Fred was stood there holding a small beautiful bouquet purple tulips. "Happy valentines." He said, his voice low and calm, he was grinning widely and he looked so happy and relaxed. "Happy valentines Freddie, I've got you something." As Lucianna said this, she took a small thin box from her pocket. As she handed it over to Fred, Fred handed her the bouquet. The Weasley ripped open the packaging to reveal a small pin, it was a solid sliver pin in the shape of a "W" and was decorated with oranges and red hues. "Since you want open a joke's shop I was thinking perhaps this could be your logo and a mento to keep your dream alive til you achieve it. I know you will." Fred was grinning widely, without any hesitation he grabbed Lucianna's face and kissed her, "I love you, you know. So much." Lucianna giggled and mumbled "I love you" back to Fred while the two continued to kiss.
