I remembered having a dream of where my mother took me to some cruise. I was then taken to some place that had a tactic of using spiders to get rid of ear wax. I recall it was very stressful as I was tied to the chair and had an cloth that covered my body. The spiders were weaving webs all around as I found the process to be uncomfortable. That nightmare stuck with me as it left a big impression. It only happened two years ago.
Another one of my nightmares happened where I was walking down an escalator and then found ants crawling up my legs. This nightmare happened when I was about six? I remember that I was unsettled by the idea of insects being between fabric and flesh. I did panic in the nightmare and I woke up.
There existed another. One that was scary enough that I ended up crying quite a lot. It was a nightmare where I approached the bathroom mirror and found a mask glued to my face. Like a full-face costume mask for halloween type of mask. Not the medical ones. That nightmare was about two years ago and I still have fears of it. The mask was like part of my flesh in that nightmare.
My first nightmare happened when I was really really small. Somewhere around four I think. It was about being barbecued alive and being served up as a meal to strangers. All due to accidentally seeing a terrifying image online.
When I think of these most prominent nightmares, it's a bit reflective in a way. All that differs dreams from nightmares, is that we like them. It is refreshing to know that my nightmares will never truly come true. Unless the ants decide to pilot humankind. We are helpless against ants due to their numbers. Or if there exists a cursed mask.
