CHAPTER 31

One of the guards drove us In an executive car down to the venue of the party. I could not lie, for once I felt great and happy, I felt like a billionaire at that moment. So this is what rich life entails.

The respect I was receiving from the men and the protection from the guards felt like I am Queen of England.

I love this, I don't want to suffer again. I also want to taste how wealthy it is. I think the only way to achieve that is to cling to Xavier, I love him naturally but I want the love to be mutual, what if Luke is captured and I was asked to go? Then I will go back to square one. It's not like I have someone I want to go and meet or a place I am going to who knows if I will end up being captured by another set of people again.

I need to secure my position, for once life lets me enjoy you.

The drive was smooth, one of the men opened my door for me and I stepped down stylishly.

Freya walked to where I was, held my hand and we walked down to the hall or house. To be honest I felt nervous. This is my first time experiencing all this and I want everything to leave with good memories in my head.

We walked to the door, and two men opened the door and led the way. I was looking around the place, it's so beautiful is an understatement. It felt like all those… I don't even know how to express myself. It's breathtaking.

Everyone here was elegantly dressed, I can say all of them are wealthy. There were Middle aged men also that were stylishly dressed and handsome, it also goes for the middle-aged women, then down to the young ladies and young men.

I felt jealous and envied them, they were all living their lives. The waitress came and brought us wine. Thank God Freya sat beside me and not the other way around.

"We need to act stylishly," Freya said.

"Huh-uh," I said, not knowing what to say at that moment.

"Just watch me first then you will do yours," She said.

"Okay," I muttered.

She took the glass cup of wine then stylishly put it on her lips, she sipped a little wine and dropped it down looking at the space.

"Ohhh," I said.

My hands were shaking, it won't be good if I mistakenly break the glass. I calmed myself down.

I did the same also perfectly well. I felt proud of myself.  "Good," Freya said.

" So we are going to act as if we are in conversations, I am sure you understand," Freya said and I nodded.

I looked down at my leg when I felt an itch, I remembered I had a wound on my knee. I touched it without anyone noticing but my head was down.

When I raised my head I saw Xavier in a white suit, he didn't button it. He felt like a god at that moment. Fuck! My heart started beating fast.

His attention was focused on his phone, he is stylishly handsome, Gadd!!!

"You like what you see," Freya said in a teasing manner.

My eyes were never leaving the standing figure that looks like the god of temptation.

"He is handsome Freya," I said.

"Uhn Uhn, I bet he hasn't seen you yet," Freya said, sipping her wine.

" I wonder what reaction he wi.…," I swallowed my words forcefully as I saw a woman touching Xavier's chest.

My blood boiled at the moment, " Who is she?" I asked Freya, still staring at Xavier.

" Well I don't know, can you take your eyes off him for once," She said.

True, I was just jealous.

I took my eyes off him but I still glanced at them.
The lady pecked Xavier's neck then, they started saying something in their ear. It's glaring that she is a slut, she is fucking half naked, and she isn't putting on a bra guess she won't be putting on panties too.

I sipped my wine and acted as if nothing was wrong. I was enjoying the background music and also staring at everyone. I am sure everyone here is a drug dealer, but what about middle-aged women and young females?

Maybe there are, Noone can be predicted.

I directed my gaze back to Xavier and the slut, but what happened next? Our eyes met. Xavier's eyes and mine met. He looked at me. I smiled at him but he didn't return it.

What's wrong?

He pocketed his phone as the lady clung to him, she placed her arm into his arm and they walked like a couple.

I felt hurt, Didn't he see me? He did now.

"Sorry, Maybe—erm he is drunk," Freya said trying to console me.

I nodded.

But it felt like my heart was on fire. I know I like him but it's not supposed to hurt this much.

I gathered my courage up and placed a fake smile on my face.

I looked sideways as I saw Xander talking with some people, he isn't bad looking.
Why didn't I like Xander? Xander seems a little bit calmer than this big head my heart is beating for but I am more scared of Xander than Xavier.

Not too long, Addi came. We greeted each other as he asked how I was doing. He seems happy today. He even cheers his drink with him, the fact that his other side is sweet makes Freya the luckiest woman.

He even asked permission before taking Freya to a god-known place. I am sure it's about to go down with both of them.

I am left alone with all these sophisticated people, doing their things. I was sipping my wine. I realized it has finished. I wanted more at least to keep me busy.

I can't believe all the beauty for this night is wasted, Xavier doesn't even have my time. I prefer staying in my room to being here.

I saw one of the waitresses, I waved at her to come over. I directed her to my empty cup not knowing what to say, at least it will save me from saying rubbish.

She nodded and smiled sweetly at me then left.
Thank God she understood.

Not too long, she brought another cup with some small chops.

I thanked her.

At Least, if I don't have Xavier's attention, food and I will have each other's attention.

I was eating slowly and stylishly looking at those young girls' behavior. Whenever they see Xander their body isn't always calm as they always throw themselves on him.

Rubbish.

I am so mad at Xavier right now, how I wish I could go back inside the house.

I was in my thoughts when I felt a presence, with a pleasant smell.

"Hi," the tanned young guy said, smiling.
For a second I was lost inside his eyes.
