Fizban had stopped along the road when he was tired of walking and told Tas to come sit next to him. Tasslehoff asked Fizban to tell him what he knew about casting spells.

"Well I don't know very much, but your friend Raistlin knew a lot about magic." Fizban replied seemingly deep in thought.

"Raistlin was a mage, and he was good, but I didn't really like him, though he did teach me some interesting things."

"Why? he was one of your friends, no?" Fizban asked wondering why Tas had said that.

"He was, but he was mostly in his head and hated it when people disturbed him." Tas had answered Fizban's question wisely, for he had gotten his answer.

"Well, you know I was the one who taught him fireball." Fizban said seeming excited at that, but remaining calm.

They walked on and came to the entrance to the forest. They stood there before Fizban gave Tas a charm and instructed him to put it around his neck. They then stepped forward, entering the nameless forest with ease. There was a whistling noise coming from further on in the forest. A wind in the tree's swaying the branches, yet it was all so quiet, Tasslehoff didn't like the quiet. He broke the silence by saying.

"Where's the fortress?"

"It is protected by a shield, causing it to be invisible to outsiders" Fizban explained.

Then Tas began to dig into his pouches to find his lock when he walked into the not-so-invisible shield.

"Ow!" Tas shouted loudly.

"Oh! Looks like you found the shield" Fizban replied.

Tasslehoff jumped back from where he was standing, accidentally bumping into Fizban, yet again, making him fly forward and hit the shield once more. After Was recovered from hitting the shield a second time, they walked all the way around it. Later on Fizban would cast a spell that would give him and Tas a split second to get inside, so they watched and observed where the shield ended. The shield covered the fortress fully, so when Fizban cast the spell, him and Tas quickly ran toward the fortress, they then ducked behind a small pile of wood.

As the sun started to set, Fizban had already made a fire and was cooking for Tas, considering he was no longer hungry have an already eaten a big lunch. He decided to make Tas spaghetti and meatballs, for it was the easiest meal he knew, he then pulled out and started to cook. Soon the pot began to boil and eventually Tas's meal was ready. He poured sauce onto the noodles and handed Tas the cheese he had made magically appear. Tas had just started pouring the cheese, when all of a sudden, the top of the canister flew off, making cheese fly onto his dish,"Oops!" Tas shouted as meatballs flew off his plate. This caused Fizban to jump up and say,"Easy does it!"while chuckling to himself, for once again Tas had made a mess of things.

After they had cleaned up the mess, they decided to go to bed, ending with Fizban bidding Tas goodnight, still seeing cheese bits sticking to Tas's clothing as he lied down to rest.
