Dear D⃦͟⃠i⃦͟⃠a⃦͟⃠r⃦͟⃠y⃦͟⃠ Journal, 49..?
It's been a few months since the ninja d⃦͟⃠i⃦͟⃠e⃦͟⃠d⃦͟⃠ went missing. The city is in ruins. F⃦͟͟͞⃣⃟⃠a⃦͟͟͞⃣⃟⃠t⃦͟͟͞⃣⃟⃠h⃦͟͟͞⃣⃟⃠e⃦͟͟͞⃣⃟⃠r⃦͟͟͞⃣⃟⃠ Lord Garmadon has been more violent e͟⃠⃦v͟⃠⃦e͟⃠⃦r͟⃠⃦ s͟⃠⃦i͟⃠⃦n͟⃠⃦c͟⃠⃦e͟⃠⃦H͟⃠⃦a͟⃠⃦r͟⃠⃦u͟⃠⃦m͟⃠⃦i͟⃠⃦ d⃦͟⃠i͟⃠⃦⃠e͟⃠⃦⃠d͟⃠⃦⃠ recently. It's made it harder to hide. M͟⃠y͟⃠ s͟⃠i͟⃠s͟⃠t͟⃠e͟⃠r͟⃠ Nya is out right now looking for our next shelter since we can't stay in one place for too long. I hope she's safe, or at least as safe as you can be nowadays. I hope the same for Dareth, he's out scavenging for food again.
Skylor still hasn't woken up yet. Pixal has been doing everything she can but she doesn't think Skylor will wake up. I don't think that's true though. Garmadon's power s⃦͟⃠h⃦͟⃠o⃦͟⃠u⃦͟⃠l⃦͟⃠d⃦͟⃠ will be out of her system soon. I'm sure of it.
On a lighter note, we found a l͟⃠i͟⃠v͟⃠i͟⃠n͟⃠g͟⃠ family! Mr. and Mrs. Fukuda and their daughter have been a great addition to our group. Hinako, their daughter, has been helping Pixal out with meals. It's nice to have another kid around. Jake seemed pretty lonely without anyone to play with. Hinako is much younger than him, but they still get on well.
When Dareth gets back, we'll start figuring out the groups for when we move. I think the kids and one adult should be part of the first grøū-"I'm back!"
Lloyd looked up from the journal.
Darreth entered the shelter carrying his bag; Lloyd hoped it had enough food in it for everyone.
The one consequence of taking people in is an insufficient amount of food.
Eleven people need food, not counting himself.
Two of which, are children and one who is in some sort of coma.
Pixal, thankfully, didn't need to eat and Nya wasn't there at the moment.
Lloyd didn't need food as much as the others.
Which meant ten out of thirteen people to feed.
Lloyd closed the journal and put it in his bag.
He went over to Darreth.
"What did you find?"
Dareth looked guilty.
"I barely found enough for five people, we'll be hungry tonight."
Lloyd frowned.
He wished Skylor was awake.
She would be able to make noodles for everyone.
She probably has some secret storage room full of it somewhere-
He shook his head, now wasn't the time for these thoughts.
"Let's get Skylor and the kids their share first and we'll divide up the rest."
Darreth nodded and went over to the others.
Lloyd went and sat down on a crate.
He looked out at the rubble outside the shelter, lost in thought.
He ignored his stomach's aching.
The others needed food more than him.
No matter how hungry he was.
He sat there for a while, staring with a blank expression.
"Lloyd? Why aren't you eating with the others..?" Pixal's voice disturbed his thoughts.
Lloyd was silent.
He didn't have a good response for that.
"Lloyd." Her voice was more stern now. "You can't keep skipping meals.."
He looked down.
"They need it more than me.."
"Lloyd, please.."
Her cold, metal hand grabbed his soft pale ones.
Lloyd looked back up at Pixal and smiled reassuringly.
"It's fine... I'm not hungry anyways.."
She sighed in defeat.
"If you say so.."
Pixal went to check on Skylor.
She sent Lloyd concerned looks now and then.
Lloyd sighed and turned back to his previous position.^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^
Kai sighed.
It had been a week since they had started on the journey towards the Dragon Armor.
Only a few dragon hunters stayed to get revenge on Iron Baron while the rest of them had gone back to the Dead's End.
Faith was at the front of the group, leading them in the direction of the nest.
She didn't seem to mind the heat as they trekked through the desert.
Kai on the other hand, was sweating like crazy.
He was the Master of Fire for crying out loud!
If he was sweating, then it was hot.
He looked over to the others.
Jay looked dead on his feet, he was practically leaning on Cole.
They both looked tired.
Kai turned to Zane, who was facing straight towards the horizon.
He didn't falter as he didn't feel the heat like they did.
Kai snapped out of his thoughts when he noticed how his stomach grumbled.
Their last meal was a couple of days ago so they were all pretty hungry.
Kai ignored his stomach and began to walk faster.
They still had a long way to go before they caught up with Wu.
Kai hoped they would get there before Iron Baron did something to him.
"Everyone, we can stop here for now. We'll start again first thing in the morning."
Faith spoke louder than normal so everyone would hear her.
Jet Jack glared at her.
"The sun hasn't even set yet! We can go farther."
"We haven't eaten in days. Maybe you could go farther, but not everybody else."
Kai groaned in annoyance and sat down.
"They're arguing again.." Cole sighed and sat down on a nearby rock.
The two had been at each other's throats all week.
They kept fighting over who should be in charge.
It was getting pretty annoying.
"Will they ever get along?" Jay muttered.
He sat down next to Cole.
Kai went over to Zane and leaned against him.
He was glad Zane was naturally cold.
The nindroid just rolled his eyes fondly.
One of the dragon hunters sighed.
"This is gonna be a long night.."
Kai silently agreed.^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^
Lloyd was tired, yet sleep would not overcome him.
Nya had been gone for too long.
Darreth told him he was overthinking it and that she'd be back within a few days, but Lloyd wasn't convinced.
He rolled over to his other side.
He winced at the increased pressure on his right arm.
Ever since he had hurt it at Primeval's eye, it hadn't felt the same.
It ached a lot and it was hard to use.
He hadn't said anything though.
Lloyd didn't want to worry anyone.
A loud boom shook the ground and distracted him from his thoughts.
He quickly got up from where he was laying as giant footsteps sent vibrations throughout the block.
Some of the others were waking up and quickly getting up as well.
Lloyd fought back the panic that built up in his chest.
The Colossus was headed their way..
