Throughout the rest day, Grim and (Y/n) had been cleaning and now they have to clean a hundred windows as punishment earlier. They both sat on a table as they waited for Ace to come help clean. "I'm already exhausted from a full day of cleanin'. I can't believe we still gotta wash a hundred windows!" Grim sighs in frustration. "And whose fault is that exactly? I'm gonna get you and Ace for this later." (Y/n) glares.

"What's buggin' me is, Ace ain't even here yet! To make us wait, after what he did... Grrr!" Grim crossed his little arms and pouted. "Let's just give him some time." (Y/n) said.

And so they waited for Ace, for nearly an hour and it was getting them both angry. "... And now he's super late! I bet he up and bailed on us!" Grim exclaimed. (Y/n) stood up from her seat. "That's it. Let's go find that idiot."

"Ain't no way am I doin' his punishment for him! C'mon, (Y/n), I don't care if we gotta drag him kickin' and screamin', he's washin' those windows!" Grim then leads the way.

With Grim running everywhere, he burst into a random classroom. "Hey! Ace! Get over here! Try to hide from me, will ya!" He yelled. "Uh, Grim. There's no one here." (Y/n) stepped into the classroom. Suddenly the painting on the wall spoke. "Oh, I wouldn't say that, I'm here." Grim shrieked and hid behind (Y/n) 's leg. "Bwaaah! That painting just talked!" The painting continued to speak. "Yes, and...? Is a talking painting really such an oddity at this school? The lady in the portrait on that wall talks too. As does the gentleman in the portrait on this one. As long as a painting has a mouth, why wouldn't it be able to talk? Is that really so strange?" (Y/n) walked over to the painting. "This is amazing, we don't have any talking paintings back in Earthrealm or Outworld. Truly amazing." She smiled. The painting smiled back. "Well, aren't you kind. Now, you seem to be searching for someone."

Grim walked over to the painting. "We're lookin' for this guy called Ace. He's got messy hair and a heart drawn on his face." He described Ace. "Ah, I know the one. A new student, I believe? Today was his first day at school. I think he went back to his dorm a while ago." The painting said "Myaaah! So it's true! He's tryin' to ditch us! Do you know which way he went?" Grim asked. "The door to the dorms is in the eastern building." The painting told. "Let's chase after him, (Y/n)!" Grim runs off. "Thank you, sir!" (Y/n) bowed before she left. "Such a nice girl." The painting smiled.

Outside the Hall of Mirrors, Ace was about to walk in to get away from his punishment. "Yeah right, like I'm gonna was a hundred windows. I'm just gonna go back and—" He stopped when he heard a familiar voice screaming at him. "AHA! GOTCHA, PUNK!" Grim yelled. "Get back here, Ace!" (Y/n) yells. "Oh no! They saw me!" Ace freaked out. "Stop right there, pal! No fair gettin' a head start! Wait!" Grim ran towards him. "Who in their right mind would ever wait?! Seeya!" Ace runs off. "No way are you gettin' out of this! You think I WANNA wash windows?" Grim yells out. As (Y/n) and Grim were chasing Ace, a boy with a spade over his eye was walking by. He paused his walking when he saw them running by. "Outta my way!" Ace pushed him aside. "Hey! What gives?!" The boy stumbles.  "Stop him! He's trying to run away from his responsibilities!" (Y/n) pleads as she runs towards the boy. "What? That's not right! But how to stop him? Like, freeze his legs? Or bind them with a rope?" The boy thought as he pulled out his pen. "Or maybe I could... Hmm... No..." He kept thinking of a way to stop Ace. "I don't care how! Just do something! Anything!" Grim screams as he continues to chase after Ace. "Anything?! Anything, huh...All right! Here goes anything! I summon thee... something heavy!" The boy then summons something heavy and who would have guessed that it was a cauldron. It falls on top of Ace before he can go into one of the mirrors. "Bwaaah?! Wha?! A pot?!" Ace screams in pain. "Ah ha ha ha ha! Look, (Y/n), look! That Ace guy got crushed beneath a giant cauldron! It squashed him flat! Aha ha ha! That's what you get!" Grim pointed and laughed. "A cauldron?! I wasn't expecting that. I may have overdone it this time..." The boy sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck. "Ha ha. No, I think he deserved it after he tried to run away from his punishment. Thank you." (Y/n) smiled. The boy gave her a sheepish smile back. "Yeah...no problem."
