Chapter 9 Message to Home

Back in the Fire Temple of Earthrealm. Liu Kang was waiting for Geras to see if he had any leads on finding his eldest daughter. Within seconds, Geras appeared in front of Liu Kang. "Geras, my friend. Any news of my daughter?" Liu Kang asked. "I'm afraid not, Liu Kang." Geras shook his head. Liu Kang sighs and hangs his head. Geras could see how Liu Kang was in pain because his daughter had gone missing. "Do not lose faith yet, Liu Kang. She is strong. No doubt of it." Geras spoke. Liu Kang nodded. They walked outside to see if anyone else had seen (Y/n).

Outside the Fire Temple, Kitana comes in with Mileena and Jade walking behind her. Then Sonya, Johnny, Kenshi, and Jax walked in. Kuai Liang and Tomas walked in with a few of their Lin Kuei soldiers. Stryker and Kabal walked to give out any information they had. Last was Hanzo with his wife and 6-year-old son as a few Shirai Ryu soldiers followed them.

"Is there anything you've found? Any sign of my daughter?" Kitana asked with a worried tone. "I'm sorry, Kitana. Special Forces hadn't found any lead but we'll keep looking." Sonya spoke. "I went to every owner who owns carriages in the area, but none match. We'll see if we can get more leads." Stryker told. Kabal took off his mask to reveal his un-burned face. "I went undercover and no one has the princess." He shook his head. "The Lin Kuei has no leads I'm afraid." Kuai Liang shook his head. "I'm afraid we at the Shirai Ryu have not found any trace of her." Hanzo bowed his head. "We even searched in Outworld and still no sign of her." Jade told.

Kitana could feel her tears streaming from her eyes. "My baby is still out there..." She cried more. Mileena went over to comfort her sister. "Don't worry, sister. We will find her."

"We must not lose hope yet. Princess (Y/n) is stronger than she looks." Tomas gave a positive remark. Liu Kang walks over to his wife. Mileena steps aside to allow Liu Kang to hold her sister. "I'm so worried, Liu Kang." Kitana wept. "I am too, but we will find her." Liu Kang held her close.

Suddenly, everyone's communication talisman went off. They could hear (Y/n)'s voice calling out. They quickly activated them to see if they could reach her. Instead of seeing her, they saw more of what she's been up to. They could see her at Night Raven College, the ceremony on fire, trying to stop Ace and Grim from fighting, fighting the monster in the Dwarf's Mine, and becoming a student at the academy.

"Look! She's alright!" Johnny points. "Mama! Papa! (Y/n)'s alive!" Satoshi hugged Hanzo and Harumi. "Thank the gods she alright." Jade sighed in relief. Liu Kang laughed as his eldest daughter had adopted another animal. "She is safe and sound, seeing that her arrival to that realm is an accident." He said. "I agree, though he may not be with us right now. I am relieved to see her doing well." Kitana smiled at her daughter, who was safe from harm.

They weren't the only ones to see the princess doing alright in her new school. In the jungle of Earthrealm; Sizoth and Ashrah paused their search for (Y/n) when their talismans were activated. They smiled as they watched that (Y/n) was alive. Back in the palace of Outworld, Tanya and Li Mei ran inside to show everyone how (Y/n) was doing. Mileena and Emerald hugged each other knowing that their best friend was alright. Azura had tears in her eyes as she was relieved to find her big sister was okay. Sindel and Jarrod hugged their youngest grandchild to calm her down. Bolin and Onyx cheered at (Y/n) and her new friends fighting off a monster. Leo and Aiden had to drag in Lijin to show that his sister was alright. His eyes widened to see that she was still alive. He sighs in relief, glad she is safe in the other realm. Well, somewhat safe. The four she-beasts that (Y/n) raised walked in to see what the commotion was. They smiled as they watched (Y/n) adapting to her new school life. They howled and roared in excitement. Watching his sister, Lijin made a promise to do what he could to get (Y/n). He wanted to apologize for all the awful things he's said. Now, his taking a page from her book and following his heart from now on. The first step is to try to break his engagement and be with his beloved Emerald again. Emerald smiled as she walked over and held his hand. Lijin smiled as he held her hand tightly. They planned to find a way to get (Y/n). But the she-beasts already felt to see if they could try to pick up (Y/n)'s scent. Hoping they can be reunited with her soon.

(In the profile, the four she-beasts are Misty, Nova, Cyra, and Icy. Misty is a TaiGore with white fur, black stripes, and saber teeth. Think of the TaiGore in the Outworld marketplace background from MKX. Nova is a large grey wolf from Earthrealm. Cyra is a large grizzly bear from Earthrealm. Icy is a frost dragon with white scales and blue inner wings. Think of the frost dragons from Sub-Zeros's MKX tower ending.)
