Chapter 20 A Very Merry Unbirthday to All

After being released from the nurse's office a few days ago, it will soon be time for the redo of the unbirthday party. (Y/n) was in the lounge, meditating as she waited for her friends to let her know that the party would begin. She didn't know why, but she had a feeling that she needed to meditate just to see if anything would happen. When she opened her eyes, she was surrounded by a bright light. Then it changes to a lovely scenery. (Y/n) smiled as she noticed Alice sleeping with her cat on her lap. A young lady was standing in front of her, trying to wake Alice up.

"Alice! Alice! Alice! Alice! Will you kindly pay attention and recite your lesson?" Her sister finally woke up Alice.

Alice opens her eyes. "Huh? Oh. Oh!" She quickly stood up. "Uh... how doth the little crocodile, improve his shining tail. And pour the waters of the..."

"Alice, what are you talking about?" Alice's sister questioned.

"Oh, I'm sorry, but you see, the Caterpillar said..." Alice tried to explain, but her big sister cut her off. "Caterpillar? Oh, for goodness sake. Alice, I... Oh, well. Come along; it's time for tea." Her sister leads the way as Alice smiles and grabs her cat before following.

(Y/n) smiled at the sight, glad that Alice was safe and back with her loved ones. She felt relief that she had nothing to worry about anything anymore.

When she opened her eyes, she saw that she was back at Ramshackle, still having a smile on her face. Just then, Grim runs in with Kiki behind him. "Hey, (Y/n). I see Deuce and Ace coming our way! It's time for the party!" Grim smiled. (Y/n) stood up. "Okay, let's go meet up with them." Both Grim and Kiki hopped on her shoulders. She thought it was nice of Riddle to invite Kiki to the party since she is now part of the dorm. Once outside, they waved to Ace and Deuce as they made their way to Heartslabyul.

"All hail our leader, the Red Sovereign himself... Housewarden Riddle!"

"We salute you, Housewarden Riddle!"

Riddle walked down as he reviewed the decorations of the party. "Hm. The garden roses are red, the tablecloths are white... This seems a proper unbirthday indeed. Is there a dormouse asleep in the teapo-" He quickly shakes his head. "Er, well, I suppose it's fine either way."

Trey walked up to him. "Not everything has to change completely, you know. Like, maybe spread the jam on your scones, instead of on the dormouse this time? Let's try to set the bar at "it's great if it's this way," not "it absolutely has to be this way." He suggested. "Yes, that makes sense." Riddle nodded in agreement. Ace lets out a sigh. "I can't believe we got roped into cleaning up and prepping the garden again." Deuce joins in. "Well, at least the housewarden recovered from his overblot without any complications." (Y/n) nodded in agreement. "Riddle needs the extra hands after what's happened." Still on her shoulders are Grim and Kiki. Grim's bow had the Heartslabyul color, and Kiki wore a bow on her little head. And (Y/n) wearing the same outfit that Cater made for her.

"And the garden is Magicam-worthy once again! Hashtag #nofilter on this gorgeousness!" Cater takes out his phone and takes a few pictures. "Blah blah blah! Let's just eat already!" Grim exclaimed as Kiki nodded. "Then eat we shall! I'll get the-" Cater was then cut off by Riddle. "Wait a minute!" Everyone was confused at Riddle. "There's a white rose...!" Riddle pointed. "We missed one?!" Ace exclaimed in fear. "Ace, Deuce, I told you to make sure to paint EVERY rose!" Cater yelled out. "Wait, this is our fault?!" Deuce questioned. "R-Riddle, listen..." Trey said nervously. "Riddle, please understand that these things happen." (Y/n) ran and placed her hand on Riddle's shoulder. "Well... I suppose I can overlook one or two missed roses." Riddle smiled as he placed his hand on top of hers. "R-really?! That's so generous of you, Riddle!" Cater sighed in relief. "If we work together, we should be able to get them painted in no time." Riddle leads the way. "What? They still gotta be painted?!" Ace whined. "Even so... I'm impressed. You've changed, Riddle." Trey smiled. "I'm starvin' here! Let's just get these stupid roses painted or whatever!" Grim exclaimed.
