My alarm goes off I get up my stomach hurts to days the final to days the day I play in the World Cup final it doesn't sound real it feels like I'm living in a dream

I get up go in the shower and get changed I go to the cafeteria and get an apple i eat it after we get on the bus

We get there 4 hours until kick off
I feel like I'm going to be sick we do the pitch inspection and talk for a bit

30 minutes till kickoff
We where doing our warm up we get told to change 20 minutes

It's time to line up in the tunnel it was quite in there we walk out and sing the National anthems after we get in to position

The first 15 minutes no goals had been scored until hemp scored we run to her and celebrate

28th minute lucy was running with the ball toony wasn't there the Spanish player runs to the goal she scored

Mary was to late to get the ball they celebrate

It's now 1-1 the half time whistle was blown we go back in to the changing rooms there was only going to be 2 changes Lauren and was put on for hemp

77th minute I had the ball but I was surrounded by Spain players all I could do was pass back to Mary I pass the ball back it was all in slow motion
I had passed it to her but I kicked it a little to much to the left the net ripples
I had just scored an own goal

I had lost us the World Cup I was Took off in extra time but it wasn't enough the ref brings the whistle up to her lips and blows it Spain are World Cup winners we are second place all because of me

I let the tears stream down my face I get up and go to the changing room I know I need to be out there but I can't face them knowing it's all my fault why we haven't won

I go out for the medal ceremony we got ours the others watched the Spanish team lift the trophy but I just go to the changing room and get changed I sit down and wait for the rest to get ready to go I don't feel anything but numbness

"Hey y/n " you look at the reporter in front of u " hey " she looks at her iPad at the question she had to ask u " how are u feeling I mean you scored an own goal that helped Spain win "

U look at her and just walk off u get in the bus and sit by your self

2 weeks later nobody had see u since u got home
