Tig placed his hand around my shoulder. I hugged him and gave him a friendly nudge. "What's up, Tinkerbell." I giggled. "Blow me, Princess." Tig scoffed. "still not interested." I told him while I walked arm-in-arm with Chibs. Inside the building, we met up with the others. I was happy to see all of them, even Happy, who still had his "I'm going to kill you" look. "How are you, Kiddo?" Opie asked. "Doing good." I gave him a light smile. "You found your parents?" he asked. I nodded. "Yeah, they dead, I don't care," I told him. With that, I waited for my brother. I got up from my seat as Jax walked in. "Hi, Jax." I smiled, and we hugged. "Anything on Mom?" I asked. "Still asleep," he told me. I gave him a nod. We both grabbed some coffee when Bobby walked in. He greeted Elvis, who was lying at my feet. "Hey. How is she?" Bobby asked. "Still asleep. I just had to get out of that room." Jax answered while storing in his Coffee. "Yeah. Well, we should talk." Bobby whispered. Jax called the boys behind him, and we walked to the little Chapel. "So, what's going on?" I was sitting next to Juice with my arm on his shoulder. "I have to confirm the tracker with Serg today," Bobby whispered. "Pull the trigger. Send the ten grand. I'm ensuring my mom's okay, and then I'm heading north." Jax nodded. "I'm going with," Ope said right away beside Jax. "And me, Jackie. You ain't doing this alone." Chibs said on the other side of Jax. "Hello, Canada, I'm going back," I muttered. "It doesn't matter how many of us go. We're going to need cash to pull it off." Bobby said. "Okay, these drugs we took from the rednecks, what are we looking at?" Jax asked Juice who was the expert. "Steroids and Adderall I could dump on the street. The rest of it's that HIV shit. It's gotta be peddled to the clinics." Juice said who I heard talked to Ope and Chibs about it. "You should go to Lumpy's. See if he can unload the steroids." Juice nodded. "Okay, I'll call the Chicken Man. I'm sure he'll gladly suck up the Adderall." Juice mumbled. "I do not want to know who the Chicken Man is," I whispered. "You don't." he gave me another sheepish smile. Jax nudged me. "Mom's awake. She wants to see us," Jax told me. "Kay." I got up from my seat. "I'll handle everything. Okay?" Tig said he nodded. "All right, bro." Jax gave Tig a friendly smack on the shoulder. "Suck up," I whispered into Tig's ear before following Jax and Tara, who I heard was with Mom in Oregon. "Hey, tell her we love her," Ope told us, and I nodded. "Will do." I smiled and followed Jax through the Hospital to a hallway. A man in a wheelchair passed us. He and Jax had a staring contest until he was behind us. "Who was that?" I whispered to Jax. "One of the shooters from the wake," he also whispered. "Dumb fucker." I growled as we approached a guard who patted down Jax and me before we were allowed to enter. "Hi, Mom." I was happy to see Mom sitting in her bed with oxygen cannulas in her nose. "Hi Baby, How are you?" I sat on the bed. Mom took my hand. "I'm okay, more worried about you," I told her. "Hey, Mom." Jax came closer and, after a kiss on the cheek, stood on the end of her bed. "This is on you too, doc," she said. I looked at Tara, who was about to leave the room, and she turned and closed the door. "What happened? The truth. All of it." Mom demanded. "When Cameron killed Sack, he took Abel. The feds weren't doing shit, so we hired a bounty hunter. We got this a few days ago." Jax said, passing her the Photo of Abel and Cameron. "He's somewhere up in Vancouver. We were trying to protect you, Mom." Jax added. "Bullshit." Mom snapped. "You're trying to protect yourselves," Mom growled. "He's not in Vancouver. The call I got last night triggered all this..." Mom pointed at her heart. "It's Maureen Ashby." Mom said. "Who's Maureen Ashby?" Jax and I asked at the same time. "McGee's old lady. Friend of the MC. She told me Abel's in Belfast." Mom told us. "What?" I asked. "No, can't be. Jimmy and O'Neill saw Cameron get scooped up when he hit Belfast. He didn't have Abel with him." Jax said. "Well, then somebody's full of shit." Mom was angry, and the machine next to her started beeping. "Mom, calm down," I said, moving closer to her. "You need to take it easy, baby." Clay had a hand on her shoulder. I'll take it easy as soon as I know where my grandson is." Mom growled again. Finally, Tara stepped in. "Come on. Everyone out. She needs rest." she said. I took the opportunity and told Mom and Jax I walk my dog. As I walked away, I heard the motors rolling my way. "You heading to Lumpys?" I asked Tig. "Yeah wanna join us?" he asked. "Fuck yeah." I ran to my bike and clipped Bubba in before following my friends back to Charming. "Oh man, when did Ruperts close?" Tig looked over the street to a closed building with Ruperts on a board. "I don't know, man, but this whole block's gone derelict." Bobby said beside him while Juice and I waited for them on the sidewalk. "What the hell?" Bobby looked around where more buildings looked closed. "It's almost the whole street." I said, also looking around. "Did you tell Gemma what happened?" he asked in a quiet tone. "You mean in Bakersfield? No, I will tell her." I whispered back.
