I was so thankful. "Alright, I'll see you tomorrow." I gave him a high five, grabbed the kids and the dogs, and walked home enjoying the sun. When I arrived, I saw Juice waiting for me. "Hi Baby, how are you?" I smiled, allowing him to take Cody from me. "We have to head to the clubhouse. There has been a development," Juice told me. I looked at him, confused. "I'll tell you on the way." he tied Cody to his Chest and grabbed my free hand, so we walked to the clubhouse while he told me about what happened during the day and that Jax had stepped up to be president. I was surprised to hear that. "Woa really why?" I asked while I walked on since I stopped abruptly. "Well, he has to tell you since I didn't get the full story." Juice shrugged his shoulders. It was getting dark as I arrived at the clubhouse since the dogs were sniffing everywhere, so we had to wait a few times for them. We arrived at the compound around sundown. Jax wasn't there. We waited for him while I cared for the twins and Cody, who were soon sleeping. I sat quietly with the boys at the bar when Jax walked in and walked past us into the chapel. "Should we go inside?" I asked Juice in a quiet tone. He shrugged when I saw Tig and Chibs head to the open door. Juice and I also walked over to when I heard Jax talk. "No, Tig, you're there, brother. You good with that?" Jax said when I looked into the room, I saw Tig sitting down at a chair. "Absolutely." Chibs sat down next to him. When I entered, he turned but didn't leave his seat. "Sit down," Jax ordered when a hand touched my shoulder, and Happy walked behind me to the seat closest to me. Juice closed the door and sat on the other side while I leaned against the wall behind his chair. "Ope coming?" Chibs asked. Jax checked on the door. "What time is it?" he asked. "three minutes after eight." Happy answered at the same time as me. The door opened, and Tara came in. She stopped when she saw the boys sitting around the table. "Im sorry." Tara quietly said from the door. She was released from the hospital but still had a cast on her arm and in a sling with metal pins sticking out. "It's okay." Tara walked over to Jax. They quietly talked, crouched together. I stepped forward, standing behind my husband and touching his shoulder. He was slightly startled, but when he raised his head, seeing me calmed him down. I stood behind him with my hand over his shoulder and placed it over his heart when I saw Mom staring at Jax and Tara before moving her head over to me, standing almost the same as Jax sitting at the front of the table Clay used to sit at.
Three weeks later
A lot has happened in the past three weeks. Jax and I talked, and I finally got my suspicions confirmed that Clay was why Dad was dead. I was mad and tried to kill Clay again, but Jax and Juice held me back. Since then, Mom and Clay have separated. I'm unsure if he was kicked out or moved out, but Clay wasn't living with Mom anymore. Clay now lived in a small house about two blocks away from us. Juice helped him move all his stuff while I was working and sometimes drove with the boys out to deliver weapons and drugs, just like tonight. I was behind my brother on my bike while Juice had the kids. "Kids okay?" Jax asked above me while we were at a gas station while the others went to the toilet. Jax and I stayed by the truck. "Yeah." Juice called me before we drove and told me about Cody looking up at him smiling, which made me smile so much that I told Jax about it, making him smile. When I took the cigarette from him, he continued to write in the little book he was writing in. "Hey Jackie Boy. Do you need anything?" Chibs asked, walking up to us with Tig. "Im good, brother," Jax answered, hopping down from the Truck while I hugged Tig, who was half drunk. "Urgh, you stink." I walked over to Chibs, who smelled like whiskey and his usual cigarette smell. "You okay, princess?" he asked. I nodded. "We ready?" Jax asked Tig, who was pouting, shook his head. "Nah, Happy is still getting his dick sucked." I rolled my eyes before turning my head. "Happy," I yelled, but I didn't get a reply. "In this skank hole?" Jax asked while I turned back to my brother, placing my arm around Chibs' waist. "Aw, come on, there is nothing wrong with the usual skank," Tig said. I scoffed. "I knew you would say that," I grumbled while Chibs laughed. "Tell him him to pull it out. I want to head home." Jax ordered while he walked over to his bike. I followed him while I heard Chibs and Tig talk behind me. "Alright, girls, dicks in, balls out, Homes a speeding ticket away. Let's go." I turned around, walking backward. "You sound like a VP, Scotty," I said, smiling. "You think so?" he asked. I checked on the others, slowly walking up to us. "Come on, I wanna go home to my children and husband," I growled. "Calm down, Sis. You're getting home soon to see your kids." Jax calmed me down. "Hurry ye mick bastards. Our lil princess wants to get home." Chibs yelled, and Happy Phil and Frankie finally walked a little faster. "Thanks, Chibby." I smiled, closing my helmet. "Yer walking, hon." Chibs smiled. Phil climbed into the Truck while Frankie and Happy got onto their bikes. "Are we ready? We were waiting for you assholes." I said, looking over to Happy and Frankie.
