The dinner is silent than usual. The captain, the doctor, the navigator, Masclara and Mohawk are not yet around the mess hall but Killer told everyone to dig in. Asking about the current situation will do nothing so you all started eating while thinking about it to yourselves.
There were exchanges of looks until they started murmuring around their tables.
Everyone was startled when the door to the mess hall slammed open. Kid walked straight to the table where you and the commanders sat then he turned to face the majority.
"This is an emergency. The ship will need to reroute, we'll be searching for a flower." Kid raised an open book, showing the flower on the page. "Y/N will make a copy of this so we can spread around to search faster. We'll be divided into four groups so we can search and defend ourselves at the same time."
"Defend?" Heat commented.
"Yes, Masclara used to be a part of the World Government so it's only natural that the location of this flower is close to a marines' quarter. Although, it's not on the same island, we cannot be sure that no one will send them a tip of our arrival on the other island especially that there's a manhunt for Y/N. In conclusion, we need to search the flower as fast as we can and take off because it's not our original route." Kid explained then went to sit beside you. He handed you the book with a bookmark placed on the page of the flower's picture. He asked for your help to either draw a copy or take a photo of it with the available film of your old camera. You nodded and handed him his plate while checking the book.
"Can we visit Masclara later?" You asked.
"Tomorrow. She's asleep." Is all he said and started eating. You can sense the faint worry in him but it wasn't obvious to anyone who cannot read his body language. You placed a hand on his back and rubbed it lightly as you smile at your brother.
"She'll be alright, right?"
He paused then exchanged looks with the others on the table which you thought is a little off. However, it's not much for you to think if there's something hidden from you. You trust everyone in this crew.
"Of course, she'll recover by tomorrow." Kid answered with all seriousness.

Two days passed since that day when Masclara was locked in their personal room with Mohawk. Kid told you before that you can visit her but it has changed. The doctor didn't allow anyone to go inside as for Masclara's request. You respected it and didn't question it. To Killer's behalf, it's a relief that no questions were asked about her situation.
After you got dressed up for the day, you decided to train outside. You opened the door and by the time you stepped out of the room, Killer was closing the door to Masclara's room in the corner and Mohawk was standing beside him.
Killer placed a hand on Mohawk's shoulder and said something but it wasn't clear.
Upon turning to go out, the two seemed surprise to see you standing there. You cannot tell from Killer's masked face but it was obvious how they stiffened for a moment.
