"Hey! Hey! Wait!"
Kid glared back at the woman behind them. She also has a red hair like his sister. The only difference is that his sister's hair has natural red highlights due to heredity while the woman standing there dyed her lower part hair in red. It still reminded Kid about his sister whom she left a long time ago.
"You knew that I didn't laugh at your dream right? " The woman asked.
"I know. That's why you're still alive." Kid snarled. She's surrounded by dead people who they recently slaughtered after they laughed at Kid for mentioning his dream. But only those who didn't laugh were spared and that is her.
"If you don't mind, I would like to join you for as long as I can live." The woman said. Kid scoffed and laughed. The others laughed with him except for the commanders who examined her with a stare.
"Okay, I know, I know. I don't have anything to do with my remaining years, might as well spend it on an adventure." She smiled. Everyone stopped laughing upon hearing her statement.
" You...You're dying?" Mohawk asked, not even his sunglasses could hide his expression of feeling bad about it but the woman nodded with a smile like it was not a big deal.
"Then what good would you be to our crew if you're a dying person." Kid asked seriously.
"Uhh...I can be an asset?" She answered, unsure of her own answer.
" Asset?" Kid raised an almost non-existent brow.
"I am Masclara hehehe." The woman smiled sheepishly.
Killer hummed while Heat and Wire looked at each other and back to her.
" Does it sound familiar?" Mohawk whispered behind Killer.
"Masclara, that name is known to be a part of the government's researchers."
