"Just keep going,"  the pilot said, his voice tight.  "We have to get to the end of the fields."  They walked on, trying to keep their eyes straight ahead, but it was difficult.  The moaning and whispering of the souls was almost deafening, and it seemed to be getting louder and louder.  And then, they saw something that made their blood run cold.  Ahead of them, in the distance, they could see a dark shape.  It was looming and enormous, and it was moving towards them.
As the shape drew closer, they could see that it was a massive wall, made of solid black stone.  And as they drew closer still, they saw that the wall was covered in faces, all of them twisted in agony.  "The Gates of the Underworld,"  the pilot whispered.  "We have to get through them."  Ben and Jane nodded, their hearts pounding in their chests.  They approached the gates, and saw that they were closed.  "How are we supposed to get through?"  Ben asked.
Just then, they heard a deep, rumbling voice.  "State your business, mortals."  They looked up, and saw that the gates were guarded by a massive creature.  It was humanoid, but it was twice the size of a man, and it was made of solid stone.  "We have come to seek passage through the gates,"  the pilot said, his voice quavering.  The creature studied them, its eyes glowing red.  "You must answer a question, before I will grant you passage,"  it said.
"What is the question?" Ben asked, his hands trembling.  "What is it that all humans desire, but can never truly possess?"  The question hung in the air, and Ben, the pilot, and Jane were silent.  They searched their minds, trying to come up with an answer.  "Time,"  Ben finally said.  "No,"  the creature said, shaking its head.  "Time is an illusion.  It does not truly exist."  Ben frowned, his mind racing.
"You must try again,"  the creature said.  "Okay,"  Ben said, taking a deep breath.  "What is it that all humans want, but can never truly have?"  "Contentment,"  the pilot said, his voice confident.  The creature considered this, and then nodded.  "You are correct.  Contentment is the answer.  You may pass through the gates."  Ben, the pilot, and Jane sighed in relief, and began to walk towards the gates.
