"Jason will give you a riddle. 😄 If you can solve it, he will reward you with a chest filled with gold. But be warned - the riddle is not easy, and failure will mean death." "What about me?" Ben asked. "You, my young friend, are different from the others," the Oracle said. "You seek neither fame nor fortune. Instead, you seek knowledge." "That's right," Ben said, his heart beating faster. "And knowledge you shall have.
"But first, you must prove your worthiness. You must journey to the Temple of Athena, and solve the puzzle of the Owl's Eyes. Only then will you be allowed to enter the Temple, and learn the secrets of the universe." "I will do it," Ben said, his resolve steeling. "Good," the Oracle said, her eyes twinkling. "Now, go forth, and fulfill your destiny." And with that, the Oracle faded away, and Ben, Jane, and the pilot were left alone in the Temple.
"I guess we'd better get going," Jane said, breaking the silence. "But which way do we go?" the pilot asked. Ben looked around, and saw that there were three doors leading out of the Temple. "We should split up," Ben said. "One of us should go through each door. Then, we'll meet back here in one hour, and tell each other what we found." "That's a good plan," the pilot said. "But who goes where?"
"Since Jane wants to find fortune, and the Oracle said that the path to wealth was through the city of Argos, Jane should go through the door on the left," Ben said. "That makes sense," Jane said. "Then I'll go through the door on the right, to find the Temple of Athena," the pilot said. "And that leaves me with the door in the middle," Ben said. "Be careful," Jane said, as they all prepared to go their separate ways.
Ben went through the middle door, and found himself in a long, dark tunnel. The walls were made of smooth stone, and he could hear the sound of water dripping in the distance. As he walked further into the tunnel, he noticed that the air was getting colder. He shivered, wrapping his jacket tighter around himself. As he walked, he saw a faint light up ahead. He hurried towards it, and found himself in a large cavern, lit by a single torch. And in the center of the cavern, there was a puzzle.
