Long a/n lol: Ok so I'm the most horriblest person ever IK IT'S BEEN 2 YEARS I DON'T WANNA TALK ABOUT IT. Real talk tho I got busy and pretty much forgot this fic, and then the moment I was starting to do better mentally, I lost my best friend of 5 years, my mom got cancer, and my brother went manic all within the span of 2 months so this was seriously at the bottom of my priorities. I am a very different person now and I can't make any promises on the regularity of my updates (hopefully less than 2 years lolz), not to mention I'm starting college this year! Anyway with that here's the next part :')

A whirlwind of emotions takes you over as Lance and George pick you up from the ground and lead you to their house, insistent that you stay away from the procession of tanks you were just expelled from. They explain they were in the middle of their morning walk when they noticed the Horde and were going home anyway but you can't help but feel some discomfort at their taking you in like this.

"You're only a few years younger than our kid!" Lance realizes.

"You could stay in his room!" George adds as you make your way to a small but charming cottage. The only other place that had made you feel this way was your faint memory of the house you were born in, so you decided to ask if they were familiar with your hometown. "I'm afraid I don't know where Lyra is, but I do remember their princess being invited to the All-Princess Ball!"

"That would be me," you said sheepishly, staring down at the table. It still felt weird thinking of yourself, much less introducing yourself, as a princess. "Where did you hear that?" Lance rummages through a folder, much like the ones Scorpia had to file and pulls out a book. Only it's not exactly a book. The glossy pages are filled with colorful pictures and are not meant to be written on. The only books you had seen were the journals Force Captains were meant to keep to report their work to their superiors. This one was only meant to be read. Lance flipped to a page titled "All the Gossip about the All-Princess Ball."

You spot a picture of yourself talking to Frosta, captioned "The new princess of Lyra initiating a profitable diplomatic relationship with the princess of the Snows." You didn't know you were being followed! What does that say about your skills as a soldier? Then, beside it, a larger picture of you embracing Adora, taken from the opposite side on a lower floor, zoomed in enough for the quality to conceal your identities, but the caption giving it away: "Horde princess (Y/N) manipulating She-ra, a dangerous relationship!" You read the entire article, putting names to the faces you saw at the ball and searching for any indication of where Lyra might be, but to no avail.

You look up to meet Lance's eyes, staring at you wordlessly. George is busy in the kitchen, preparing you some rations after you mentioned you had never tried pasta amatriciana before (a/n if you've never tried it, TRY IT idc if etheria wouldn't have pasta). "So you're Horde?" Lance nearly whispers "I guess it explains why you were all by yourself so close to the procession."

"I should have told you sooner, I can go if you would like," you reply, even though you're not entirely sure if you'd go back to the Horde base.

"You can stay for now. Just don't tell George. He caught wind of our Bow getting taken prisoner at the ball and he's feeling especially overprotective." Lance winks at you but your smile drops, "you know Bow?"

"I met him when he was captured. The princesses got him back and I can assure you he's safe now." Lance's relief makes you stop and wonder: how many other people did Catra's crazy plans hurt like this?

"You can stay tonight. We'll talk tomorrow if you don't know where to go," Lance says as he shows you to your room. To your surprise, it's very similar to the one you were raised in. "I know it's a little girls' room, but Bow's changed now, and we're doing our best to support his new needs. We just get a little too sentimental to throw all of his old stuff out."
