Matix

A gift

My name is Paris, I'm 13 and I have a special gift. I have a friend named Matix. He's my only friend actually. But he is special because you can't see him only I can. He is always with me and helps me out alot. He can move things even in different rooms and he helps me see through walls and stuff. It's really cool but he can get scary. He can control people and sometimes it can get out of hand.
People think I'm weird and it's become a problem so my parents put me in this place called Aragon. It's basically a mental asylum but just one room for me and multiple testing rooms. It kinda sucks sometimes because I can't leave because my Uncle Geoff (he's not really my uncle but he takes care of me so I just call him that.) He doesn't want me to get hurt like last time I begged him to go to the ice cream parlor. He dropped me off so I could just explore and stuff but first I went to get ice cream. I walked in and the nice lady welcomed me and gave me some strawberry ice cream for free. I thought it was so sweet and I gave her a huge hug. She hugged back and smiled. I pulled back and said "Thanks so much ma'am!". She said "you're welcome sweetheart.". I smiled and licked my ice cream and I went to go sit a table to enjoy my ice cream. I was having a great time until a random guy around 15 sat down next to me. I said "Hi!" To be polite and she just stared at me like I was crazy. I asked if he needed something and he said yah. I furrowed an eyebrow at him and he grabbed my ice cream and threw it to the ground. I started to cry because no one has ever been mean to me and that was my first ice cream ever. So I got up and pushed him. I guess I did it hard because he fell over. He got up and punched me in the face. My nose started to bleed and I put my finger to where the blood was and looked at it. It was everywhere. I screamed "MATIX!" I started to levitate a bit off of the ground. My hair in all directions and my eyes all red. The guy looked at me in horror. Matix started to control him and made the teenager punch himself in the face. I laughed madly. But then I saw everyone in the parlor looking at me. The all were so scared and I became worried. I dropped to the floor and Matix stopped controlling the guy. I cried and ran out of the shop. It was getting late and the sky was very dark. I walked alongside the road hugging myself. I'm a freak I thought. I walk for a few hours and find a tree. I sit under it and it starts to pour down rain. I hug my knees and sob. I sit there for 30 minutes until I feel a tap on my shoulder. I look up to see Geoff. I'm so glad to see him. I jump up and hug him and I cry and whine "I'm so sorry!". " It's ok I already heard and it wasn't your fault it was an accident, I'm here for you know." He said soothingly. He carried my tiny body in to the car and I was fast asleep. He shook me softly once we got back. And he again carried me to my bed. He tucked me in bed and said "Good night princess." He begins to walk away but I stop him " I love you." I saying hesitantly because that was the first time I have ever said that to him. He looked back and said "I love you to Paris." I smiled because I saw a tear go down his cheek. I made him happy. I hugged my pillow tightly and fell back asleep.
That was the first time I went out. And today Geoff said he would take me to a baseball game (whatever that is). I don't get to watch TV a lot or anything so I don't know a whole lot of the outside world but I am very smart. I always study and read books and listen to music. They fascinate me so much so I spend most of my time doing just that. Geoff is proud of me for doing that. He tells me I'm very sweet but I have anger issues. But he said he will work them out with me. I love Geoff he is this closest thing I have to a dad. Whenever I cry and I call myself a freak he sits down with me and tells me I'm not and I'm just a beautiful and unique person that has a special gift.

I'm sitting on my bed brushing my hair. I put it in a pony tail and pick out a plaid t shirt with some white skinny jeans. I also put on my favorite necklace Geoff gave to me. It's a infinity sign with my favorite band which is One Direction. I put on a belt my mom gave me when she visited once. It was the day she moved to be with her mom that was very ill. But the belt had lyrics going across the belt to a song I liked. I look at myself in the mirror and smile. I'm so excited for the game. Geoff opened the door and said "Are you ready honey?" I nodded and we were off.
