Hello

I jump quickly to a loud noise below us. "What was that?" Ryder asks scared. I look down and a horde of zombies are surrounding the ladder. They can't climb but they aren't gonna leave. I take a deep breath and sigh. I move my hands towards the crowd and jerk them. A strong bolt comes out of both my hands and destroys part of the ground below. Luckily it hit some of the zombies and they flew outwards. Good I killed about half.

Ryder picks up our stuff and puts it in the bags. He puts his backpack on his shoulder and hands me mine. I put it on a strike another bolt at the other half of zombies. I hit them and smile.

Ryder heads down first and I follow not far behind. We walk on a nearby road. We hear a helicopter and we shouted and waved our hands trying to signal it but it was no use. I sigh and Ryder grabs my hand and smiles. "It's ok, we will find someone or something." I nod and we try to find any buildings or homes to search for supplies.

Eventually we find a small home close to a lake. I knock on the door just incase someone is in the house. The door is unlocked so we go in. Ryder checks the living room and kitchen while I check the bathrooms and bed rooms. I find the master bedroom. There is blood all over the door and it's been left ajar. I walk in cautiously and find nothing. I head for the master bedrooms bathroom. The door is closed and I hear a noise coming from inside. I swallow hard and open the door quickly holding up my hands ready for a fight. I sigh only to find the shower head swinging and it's hitting against the wall. I look around and pull out some drawers and look through them. I find pain pills and some bandages. I open a cabinet and find sisscors. I take them and check on Ryder in the living room. I ask him if he's ok and he gives me a thumbs up. I smile and make my way towards a hallway. There's two rooms with a huge poster one of the door saying "Joey's room" and the other "Claire's room". I open Joey's room and look around but stop myself. I hear something. Sounds like sobbing almost. "Shh Claire, someone's in here." I hear faintly in the closet to the right. I knock on the door." It's ok I'm not one of those things. I can help you." I try to sound sympathetic. The door opens slowly and I see a girl and a boy hugging eachother for dear life. The boy looks about 16 and the girl around 18. Ryder and I just turned 14.

I hold out my hand a the boy grabs it but is still holding on to it looks like his sister. He stands up and introduces himself and the girl. "I'm Joey and this is Claire." He says a bit terrified. " I'm Paris but you can call me Parry if you would like." I reply. "RY COME HERE!" I shout. He runs in. "What's wrong?" I look at him and then the siblings. "Oh hi there! I'm Ryder."

The brother and sister explain what happened to them. Claire said their parents were on a business trip when the apocalypse started and they had to kill one of those things and hid in the closet afterwards. "Do you want to come with us?" I ask. They nod their heads. "Could you help us find our parent too?" Ryder and I look at eachother. "Uh yah, sure. Where did your parents work and where did they go?" I wonder. "They work for CDC'S around the world and they went to umm, California." Joey explains. "Ok great! maybe they are working on a antidote. We are in Colorado and we need to make in to California. It's gonna be awhile and it will be tough but we will make it. I promise." I asure them.

We all gather up supplies and find some gas in the garage. Claire said the have another car with a full tank of gas 1 mile away. "You're going to need a blunt weapon to kill these things. Aim for the head, ok?" Ryder informs them. Claire finds a baseball bat and a small pistol. And Joey finds a 12 gage shot gun and they both have plenty of ammo. We decide to eat something before we leave. Claire and I make a meal while Ryder and Joey figure out a plan and put supplies in the packs.

"So are you and that guy dating?" Claire winks at me. "Yeah, he's very sweet." I chuckle as I boil the water and put some pasta in it. "You two make a cute couple." She claims. "Thank you." She nods. "My boyfriend died trying to save my brother and I. My brothers girlfriend died trying to get out of a burning building over runner by those things." Claire sighs.
"I'm so sorry." I feel bad. "It's ok they were mean to us sometimes anyways. "Oh." I whisper.

She mixes the sauce for the pasta and I strain the noodles. "Well I'm glad you guys found us, it was getting really lonely." She tells me. "I'm glad we did too." I say back as we both smile at eachother. Claire has long beautiful brown hair and green eyes. She has a smaller frame but it tall. Her brother has dirty blond hair with green eyes. He is also skinny and tall.

I hear something in my mind. "Parry I like these people we should at least stick together until we find their parents." Ryder says telepathically to my mind. "Same here." I reply back.

I pour the pasta back into the pot and Claire mixes in the sauce. We serve dinner with some sodas. We eat quickly because outside is getting darker. We are unsure of the time so it might be getting ready for a storm or its close to night time. We laugh and explain our pasts and tell them and out our powers. They are amazed and I think we can make a good team.

We finish up and I take the plates and put them in the sink. We grab our supplies and suit up. I grab the gas can and we make our way towards the spare car ahead.
