The bitter end

The odd man leads us towards a labratory. As soon as he opens the door for us to walk in, he leaves.

I hear loud pounding coming from the entrance of the buliding and just assume it's some guards capping some creepers.

After some time 2 people rush in. Claire and Joey run to them and hug them. I smile. At least someone's happy. I sigh and look at Ryder. He smiles at me. An older woman walks in with a worried look on her face.

She fumbles around for a tube. She finds it a pours it into a beaker. Then she quickly grabs a purple liquid and pours it in, mixes it and drinks it. Everyone is staring at her unsure of what to do. Claire, Joey and their parents leave the room. The lady drops to her knees and screams in pain.

I give a worried expression to Ryder, he does the same to me. He walks over to the lady and bends down. "Ma'am?" He says scared. She turns her head quick to meet his face. Her face is red and lost skin in some parts. It starts to turn green and she growls in his face. He screams in horror and she pounces on him.

"RYDER!" I shout starting to cry. I run and try to push her off but she won't budge. She stands and she begins to grow and mutate. I stare up in horror as she looks down at me. She raises her hand and hits me. I fly and hit a wall. My head slams on something and everything becomes blurry quick. I gasp for air. I hear Ryder scream my name but it's faint. My head falls top my shoulder and I black out.

(Ryder's pov)

"PARIS!...PARRY!" I scream as loud as I can. She isn't moving but I can see her chest go up and down. She's breathing at least. I'm on the ground, the abomination above me knocking things over. I try to move but I think everything is broken. I try to heal my arms.

A light shines through out my arms, it's working, it's healing. I drag myself towards Paris. I move slowly wincing in pain. The huge lady has stopped whatever she was doing and sees me moving. I try to crawl faster towards Paris. I need to heal her so she can wake up.

I reach her and put my hand on her leg. The light runs up through her body and she twitches. I grunt. This hurts so bad. Her eyes flutter. I try to smile. I put my head down and sigh.

(Paris ' s pov)

I jerk awake and Ryder has his hand on my leg. I'm not sure why. I look up and see a extremely large and bulky undead woman. I blink my eyes to get a better look at what she's doing. As soon as my eyes adjust I scream. She's coming towards us. I panic and look around for something to throw or anything. I look at my hand and put it towards the woman. I close my eyes and twitch my hand towards her. I open an eye and realize, nothings happening. My powers aren't working. I squeak and look down at my hands and back up to the abomination. She grabs Ryder's leg and throws him to the side very aggressively. He doesn't hit the ground, I look over to where he was thrown and my face goes blank. I'm beyond tears.

His limp body has been impaled in metal rods sticking out from the wall. There is no way possible he could have survived. I just stare at his body and see the blood drip from it.

"just kill me.." I whisper. I close my eyes and fall over. I hear her arm lift and it comes down quick. I look up just a little bit and see a figure in the doorway.

(Joey's pov)

I hear screams from the labratory I start to head towards it but hear a loud crack. The entrance door broke and zombies start to pour in. Claire and my parents pull out guns and start shooting. I gasp and run into the lab. I throw open the door and stop dead in my tracks. I see a huge mustard lady standing above Parry and Ryder. I'm unsure what to do so I stand there. The thing picks up Ryder and throws him to a wall. I try to scream but nothing comes out. To which I realize. Ryder's body is impaled into metal rods on the wall.

I lift up my shirt and pull out my gun. I aim it towards the things head and shoot. It does nothing but turn it's attention towards me. I look back at the entrance of the buliding and where my parents and Claire were. I can't get a sight of them. I look around for a bit and find Claire on the ground, dead, her stomach ripped open and those....those things eating her. Then I spot everyone else the same way. I can't cry. I can't do this. I aim the gun to my head. "I'm sorry..." and pull the trigger.

(Paris ' s pov)

I hear gun shots and I see the figure hold the gun to its head and shoot. The body falls to the ground and the thing looks back at me. Here she comes again. She looks mad and growls. She cocks her hand back and throws a punch toward me.

"PARRY WAKE UP!" Ryder shakes me awake. I gasp for air and tears stream down. "Hey, hey,hey I'm here its ok everything fine." He says holding me and rocking me. "What's wrong?" He asks. I remain silent and rock my self back and forth my arms crossed around my body.
