Matix

The begining

"GEOFF!" I scream bloody murder. We run towards the lab. The door is locked. I kick it as hard as I can multiple time screaming his name and get no response. I give up and sigh. I throw my hands out and grab the door with my electric bolt and throw it to the side. We run in.

I see the twins. They are dead. But they are moving and their faces are a shade of green and the smell is pungent. They growl and limp around. "Shhhh." I whisper to Ryder. They jerk there heads towards us and let out a awful sounding groan. They stretch their arms out and limp towards us. I grab Ryder ' s hand and run out the door. I use my bolts to grab the door and try to put back in place. I hear loud thumps against the door and people screaming and running across the hallways. I run up against the door to kept it place. Suddenly a hand crashes through the door right above my head. I look at Ryder and we both have a terrified look. "Ok I'm gonna let go and we are going to run out of here got it."I exclaim as body goes back and forth from the twins pounding on the door. He nods quickly. I hold up three fingers. The third one goes down then the second and then the last. We both sprint for the sliding doors. We almost reach it and I stop dead in my tracks. I fall to my knees and burst into tears.

There he is. Geoff. Undead. There is a huge bite mark on the right of his neck. That's when it hits me. When they were working on the twins trying to take their blood and putting it in another humans body. Something must have went wrong maybe removing the blood caused them to be..canabals? Or a mutation happened when moving their blood into a human. I grab my head and sob. I look up at him and I can hear Ryder screaming something at me but I ignore it. I watch Geoff walk by us.

"HELP ME PLEASE!" Dr.Uriah screams. Undead Geoff turns to her direction. He growls loudly and makes a mad dash for her. "NO LILA RUN!" I try to scream and I squeak. He tackles her and begins to eat her. She screams for help but I can't kill Geoff. I scream and cry her name and have my hand out towards her but there's no use. Ryder puts his arms around me and pulls me out the door. I'm too upset to get up so I just lay there on the floor, crying. He picks me up and throws me over his shoulder and runs. I'm still useless and sobbing all over his shirt. Geoff and Lila were the only people that took care of me and loved me. They were the closest I had to a mom and dad. Now they are gone. I let her die, it's all my fault. I can't believe it. Why did this happen?

I start to calm down and Ryder is still running with me over his shoulders. He begins to slow down and he sets me down softly. He puts his hands on my face and looks deep into my eyes.
"Paris listen to me. I don't know what's happening but we need to find a CDC or something so we can figure this out. We need eachother so don't leave me, please I need you so much and I love you. If something happened to you I don't know what I would do. We can do this together, ok?" He says sternly making sure I understood everyword. I nod sniffling. He grabs my hand and we run. I don't know where we are going but we will make it. I hope so at least.

We pass so many people getting eaten by these weird and demented people. Those things get close but we manage to get away and by me using my bolts to push them away or Ryder ' s forcefield and deflecting them.

I point to a nearby store we make our way for it to gather supplies. Once we enter it's complete chaos. I tell him I will head for food and he agreed to go to get the water. We part ways and grab as much as we can. I find a small backpack on the floor and grab it. I find alot of perishable canned goods. I fill up my bag as much as I can. I turn to find Ryder but I am pummeled by one of those things. I scream loud and try to get him off. He bites the air close to my face. I grunt and grab his neck. I press up on and his head lifts up a bit and I struggle. "GET OFF MY GIRLFRIEND!" Ryder screams and tackles the undead guy off me. I cough and wheeze for air. I try to get up. Ryder stomps on its head and it explodes. "Oh so that's how you kill them, destroy the brain." He says to himself. He helps me up and hugs me. "That was close thanks Ry." I say thankfully. I hugs me for awhile. He's scared because he almost lost me. "It's ok honey I'm still alive we just gotta work together and check our surroundings better." I try to calm him down. He let's go and we leave the store. "We need to find a place to sleep. It's getting late." I say looking up at the darkening. He agrees and we find a billboard and climb the latter. It's high enough and we don't think those creatures can climb. We settle in up there and we try to figure all of this out. "I think they are called zombies. I watched a documentary on them and I never thought that that would happen." He explains. We talk for awhile and lay down.

"I'm cold." I shiver. He pulls out a blanket from a backpack I guess he found in the store too. "Here." He puts it on us and he scoots closer to me. I lay on his chest. "Goodnight sweetheart." He says softly. I kiss his cheek and we are fast asleep. Hopefully everything will be ok tomorrow.
