Laughing gas

We were on the way to the car and we saw a odd plant on the side of the road. I crouthced and went over to touch it and Ryder pulled me back. "What?" I asked curiously. "That's a dangerous plant it's very lethal if you touch it." He explains. "Oh." I stood back up and I shot a blot at it. It started to catch fire and the fumes began coming up. I accidentally enhanced some and began to cough.

(Ryder ' s pov)
Parry started to cough a lot and patted her back. I don't know why she started to do that. She stopped and looked up at me. "Haha your cutteeeee." Her words drug out. She fell on me and giggled. "Paris are you alright sweetheart?" I asked concerened. "I'm alllwayysss alrrriiigghhhttt around youu!" Her voice got high.

I held her as she made funny comments. We were almost to the car and Paris stopped abruptly.
"Heeeyyyy look at thhhaaattt." She squealed and ran over to a rugged carpet alongside the road. I scrunched my face in confusion as she sat down on it. "Parry uh what are you doing?" I question. "NNNNNEEEEEUUURRRWWW" She screamed picking up the front of the carpet. Claire and Joey laugh. "Parry sto.." "SHUT UP PRETTY BOY I'M ALADDINNNNNNNNN." She yelled at me as she made airplane noises.

She falls over and chuckles and blacks out. I shake my head and go over to pick her up. I throw her limp body over my shoulders. "Here we go, I guess that plant did ya good." I mumble as the car comes in sight.

Claire puts the gas can in the trunk and Joey starts the car. I open the door and slide unconscious Parry in. I go in after and put her seat belt on and the same for me. She slumps on my lap and begins to snore. I smile and put her hair behind her ear. Claire gets in the car and looks back at us. "Well aren't you two adorable." I roll my eyes and she laughs. Joey pulls out and we start our journey.

5 hours later

(Paris ' s pov)

I yawn and stretch out my arms. "Well good morning sunshine." Ryder teases. "What happened" I ask sitting up. Ryder explains everything that happened after I accidentally sniffed and lethal plant and blushed in embarressment. "Oh." I look down.
He hugs me "Hah you're fine, it was kinda funny." I smile.

We stop to fill up the tank at an abandoned gas station so we can fill the can and car back up. We get out and eat some snacks and drink some water. We all decide to go in the convenience store at the gas station. Claire and I search the right side of the store while the boys check the left.

We find plenty of perishable snacks and meals, while the boys found many bottles of water and liters of soda. We were set and grabbed a map and headed back on the road.

We pass by many country sides and lakes. I stare out the window most of the time admiring the beauty of nature. But I see so many torn up homes and everything it makes me so sad. I sigh and run my fingers through me hair. Ryder grabs my hand and starts to talk through our minds. "You don't have to talk out loud if you want to tell me what's wrong." He says into my mind. " I just wish the world wouldn't have come to this and I miss Uncle Geoff." I respond as a tear rolls down my cheek. He hugs me and I hold him tight. Claire looks back apologetically at me and rubs my shoulder, trying to soothe me. I smile at her and she does the same and looks back on the road with Joey.

We keep the embrace for a while and he lets go. He smiles and rubs his thumb on the bottom of my cheek. I lay my head on his shoulder. "You're the best" I whisper. He smirks and rubs my side. "Thank you." He replies back quietly.

We stop again by the forest for a pee break. Claire and I go first behind a bush. The boys guard in front of us. Then we guard the boys. They take a bit longer and Claire nudges my shoulder. "Paris look!" She says scared pointing to a huge horde of zombies. We duck and I say "Shhhh." I throw my hands up and an eltrical shield covers her and I, the car and 5 feet behind us. "Woah I didn't know I could do this" I say to myself. The crowd passes as if we never existed.

5 minuets pass and I let go of the sheild. The boys run up to us out of breath. "We say the sheild and saw you guys in it. We were gonna run around to the front but we saw a zombie and went the other way." They say. Claire hugs Joey and I pat Ryder on the back. We drink some water and head off again. We all agreed to stop at a hospital to check for more medical supplies.

It begins to storm and we drive slowly through it. It's very dark and find a smaller hospital. We decided we would lay low in here until morning.

We all grab our stuff and run towards the building. Joey jiggles the door "It's locked." Ryder brings out his hand and unlocked it and we go in slowly.
We find a waiting room and put our stuff there. We split up. I go with Joey and Claire goes with Ryder.

We check a room and ruffle through some drawers. No luck. We go to the next room and find some bandage wrap and peroxide. The following room we find a duffle bag and a flaslight with some Alka seltzer tablets. We put all of our findings in the bag and continue. The next room is dark so we use the flash light we found in the previous room.
The room illuminates with lightning followed by a loud roar of thunder. I jump.

I bend over to pick up a used syringe. I examine it while standing back up. " Hey Parry look what I found...WOAH." He says stumbling over on me. He falls on top of me. "Oh I'm so sorry." He sttuters. "Woah." I say as I look into his blueish green eyes. He blushes. "AHHHHHHHH!" We hear Ryder and Claire scream. We both jerk our heads towards the doorway.
