Disclaimer: You're called the "traveler," but you're not Aether and or Lumine. You're just a regular adventurer. (Also, it's just my practice on writing Reader fics without using "Y/N")

I was also supposed to post this 2 days ago but I'm such a perfectionist ass so sorry.

Enjoy!

"Traveler! It's been a while hasn't it?" The sound of a familiar voice caught your attention.

"Lyney, Lynette, it's been a while indeed!" You quickly embraced both of them, squeezing the life out of the twins. Then, through the corner of your eye, you noticed Freminet catching up; he stopped when he saw you, squinting at Lyney before giving Lynette an all-knowing look.

"Hey traveler, nice to see you too," Freminet quietly greeted. His eyes lingered on yours for a few seconds longer than necessary. Eventually, he slowly joined the hug, and after an awkward moment of hugging, Lyney coughed, and you all stepped back from each other.

"Aww Freminet, you've gotten a little taller since we last met!" You teased, and he rolled his eyes.

"I still can't reach the tops of any shelf, so I'm not sure that's of much use."

Lyney chuckled and grabbed his shoulder, "Well, Freminet, you may not be able to reach heights, but nothing beats your diving skills! We all have our strengths." Lyney turned to you and cleared his throat, "Anyhow, Traveler I'm glad you're back! How was your trip to Mondstadt? Find anything new?"

"I should've bought souvenirs for you guys; I would've loved to buy something for you three."

"How about we go get some coffee at Café Lucerne? My treat, of course." You wanted to accept his offer but hesitated in embarrassment. Too bad Lyney saw through you before you could make an excuse— "Don't be shy! My siblings and I have been planning to go since yesterday. You're not imposing on our plans. We'll also have comfortable seats to talk longer; come on!" You weren't able to protest as he pulled your hand and dragged you away.

Lyney began to update you on the events in Fontaine while you were gone. He began to weave magnificent tales that made you guess whether he was exaggerating things or not. The streets of Fontaine were as crowded and lively as you remembered. You passed a packed business district of high-rise luxury shops, with the occasional Gardemek catching your eye. The longer you walked, the more people would recognize Lyney and Lynette. Suddenly, a huge crowd is over them, asking for their autographs.

Freminet cowered behind you, and Lyney handled the crowd expertly. With his sweet talking and honey-laced words, he managed to calmly disperse the crowd before quickly leading the way to the shop. It was a chaotic all-in-one trip.

You turned around and saw Freminet and Lynette walking further and slower behind you two. The pair whispered among themselves and stopped to act oblivious whenever you happened to glance at them.

Lyney pouted, "Hey, you two! Don't act like that." Freminet and Lynette exchanged glances and smirked.

"I think we're just walking too fast for them, Lyney," you added. Nothing changed after that, and you noticed Lyney tensed the more time passed with only you two together.
