The tremors woke Mk up.
"Huh, wha-EARTHQUAKE!" He bolted out of his bed. Falling on the floor as the trembling building continued to do its thing. It stopped as quickly as it arrived. He opened his eyes and was dismayed to see everything in shambles.
"Ohohoh no! My precious possessions!" He frowned, looking at his clock that said nine O one PM. The clock started to chime. "Nine O one! I'm late for work!" He ran out of his room, although he couldn't find his staff. Which was odd because he had it with him. He jumped down the stairs, seeing Tang and Pigsy talking to each other. "Pigsy, I'm so sorry I'm late!" Mk apologized profusely. "I guess I didn't set an alarm, and honestly I don't even remember going to bed..." He was interrupted by Pigsy.
"Fire you? Hah, why would I fire you?" He smiled at him. Which wasn't normal when he was late. Something felt wrong, first his staff was missing, and now this?
"Uh well last time you said 'if you are ever one minute late again, you. Are. Fired'!" He imitated the pig demon who didn't seem phased by it.
"I said that?" Pigsy pointed to himself.
"Hah! That doesn't sound like my best friend, Pigsy!" Tang said, wrapping an arm around his 'friend'.
"Aren't you two da—"
"You can have the day off."
"YES!" The world trembled as a rumbling sound came from everywhere at once. The world went black for a few seconds before everything went back to how it originally was, minus the broken bowls. He tried to summon his staff, but it wasn't in his ear. "Do you guys know where I put my staff? I kind of lost it..." He mumbled.
"Oh it's not lost Mk! No no no, it's on top of the mountain trapping Dbk's family!" He turned around, when did he do that?
"I don't remember doing that..?"
"I keep saying you work him too hard, Piggy." Tang tsked.
"Mk, how about you enjoy your lovely day off instead of yapping with us?" Pigsy had an uncharacteristically large smile.
"Yeah, yeah. Uhm, okay!"

"This is the most perfect day ever!" He said as he walked down the street. The group of people that were following him kept chanting perfect. He didn't know why. But they were cool!
"Hehe, you guys really are driving that point home." A low rumbling sound came from the ground. That when the trembles started. He threw his arms up to balance him before he fell. The world seemed to glitch, then everything was normal. The setting sun looked beautiful. It painted the buildings around him in warm colours. "What was that? Uh yeah, something's definitely up here!" He decided, running around Megapolis but not finding anybody. "Pigsy smiled, he never smiled!" He started running in a random direction. "I gotta tell Mei!" He shouted before running into Mei.
"Hiya Mk, you good?"
"Mei! Boy am I glad to see you! Tell me you can see them too?" Once again people were surrounding him and whispering the word perfect.
"Aaah shshhchhs, none of that! We're gonna be late!" She smiled, her green eyes looked dull and lifeless somehow.
"Late, late for what?"
"Our romantic river cruise for two!" Their WHAT?

He sat at a table, cats were playing instruments somehow. He didn't dare question it. Nobody else was on the ship besides Mk and Mei. Mei giggled, Sandy then spawned in.
