Jade's POV:

To say I learned something new would be nothing but a lie.
Every since class I walked into was full of stares and mumbles.
I wanted to scream "Does anyone know the meaning of subtle," but decided against it.
Even the teachers were getting on my last nerves. They smiled, asked me to introduce myself and then walked over to me to talk some more. My smile was getting worn out and I wasn't in the mood to make friends so I just kept to myself.

When the bell finally rang for third period, I couldn't help but to smile. Finally, alone time but then it hit me, I had to go help Layla with the money issue. While I was packing my book bag, I noticed the teacher, Mr. Lay, walking up to me.

"So how was my class?" He said with a smile.

"Hate to break it to you, but, no one was paying attention." I said as I tried to fight back a laugh.

"Oh." He said as he crossed his arms and looked down.

Mr. Lay looked like you everyday guy, black hair, brown eyes and pretty tall.

"Was I boring?" He asked as he walked with me to the door.

"No, but, the class found something more entertaining to look at." I said as I threw my book bag over one of my shoulders.

"What thing?" Mr. Lay asked as he scratched one of his eyebrows.

"Me." I said as I headed out the door.

Shouting a goodbye to him, I heard the faded sound of a chuckle and a goodbye following it as well.

Sighing, I started to drag my feet over to Ms. Winters's classroom. It was a very long and exhausting walk; had me huffing and puffing.

When I finally got to her classroom, I knocked on the door to find that it was empty.

"Great." I said.

Deciding not to just stand around, I walked inside the classroom and sat on her chair. I spin round in it for a while before I got dizzy. At this point, I decided to just relax, so I threw my legs up on her desk, laid back, and popped my headphones into my ears. As I was relaxing, I started to sing and closed my eyes. I was singing along to one of Sam Smith song, however, it wasn't long before I found myself 3 feet in the air and soon on the ground. Taking out my headphones, I put my hand over my chest and looked up.

An amused Ms. Winters was standing over me.

"Are you insane!" I exclaimed as I started to get off my ass and onto my feet.

"Well, I was calling you so you could help me with this box but you were too busy having a high school musical moment to hear me."

"So you just had to slam it on your desk?" I asked, my hand still over my chest.

"It was heavy." She said as she patted the box.

Rolling my eyes, I walked over to the box and inspected it.

"What's in it?" I asked.

"It holds the taxes and all the records this school has about everything we spent our money on."

Nodding my head, I looked around and when I noticed she had a pair of scissor on her desk, I decided to open the box with it. Cutting through the tape, I was able to get the flips open and as soon as I did, I regretted it. There was no space for the papers to even breath. Picking up the first paper, I noticed it was recent and quickly scanned through it with Layla standing behind me, trying to read it over my shoulder.

"What does it say?" She asked.

"Don't worry about it." I said as I stepped a bit forward not liking her breathing down my neck.
