He was avoiding me.

A part of me was glad, I could finally focus on work again.

I had to deal with the Kim problem, I just wanted to kill her but Marco thinks she's hiding something and wants to find out what it is and I let him talk to her, they never really got along back then not like that means anything she was my best friend and now look where we are.

Staring through the one way glass I watch as Marco takes a seat in front of her, he got her a chair guilty until proven otherwise I still stand by that, it hasn't lead me wrong yet.

"Evie?" Marco says trying to wake her up, "Time to talk."

A raspy laugh echos in the dark.

"Why are you here? go away." She snaps, she's been like this ever since I told her I killed Gabe it was a lie, I have no Idea where he is but she clearly didn't know that and it was nice to see her feeling the same pain I was, I know it was wrong to bring Gabe into it but I couldn't stop myself.

"I need you to tell me the truth, why did you try to kill Alex?" I don't know why he thinks she's gonna tell us, but whatever.

"She's a bitch, and everyone hates her," she leans forward and points at Marco. "I bet you hate that bitch too."

"Sometimes," I roll my eyes he's lucky I like him. "Why did you shoot Alex?"

"It doesn't even matter what I say." she looks past him and at me. "I'm going to die, I rather die knowing she won't get what she wants." that smile, god. "Forget it."

"You aren't gonna die."

"What is he talking about?" I whisper this isn't apart of the plan.

"Haha."

"She can't do it, if she could you'd be die, you would've been dead within the hour of getting here, but she can't do cause when she looks at you all she see is her best friend."

"Some friend. Killing the only person I loved."

"Gabe isn't dead, we never had him, he got away."

"But she said-"

he waves his hand cutting her off.

"She lies, come on you know that." he shows her a photo, I can't see what it is. "This was him last night,"

"He's alive?" tears start pouring out.

I back away from the window.

"If you tell us what you know, we will let you go."

What a goddamn fool.

"I don't understand, why would she let me go?"

"She can't keep you locked up down here forever."

"I need to hear it from her."

Marco gets up and walks over to the glass, I walk up to him. this man will be the end of me.

I read his lips. fine.

Walking into the hallway I push open the door seeing Evie and Marco.

"He's right, you tell us the truth you get to see Gabe again, deal?" I ask, it pains me to look at her.

"Deal."

I take Marco's seat and Marco stands between us.

"The leadership, the families." she was rubbing her hands as we undid hers chains, "They always knew about Alex I'm not sure how, but when she sent me and Gabe away they found us and offered us a deal, we only get to live if we kill Alex," she locks eye contact with me but I look away. "they told me you were the one sending killers after us." sure, sure "me and Gabe, we took the deal."
