Y/N's POV

Sebastian and Ominis were waiting for me out the front of Hogwarts, brooms in hand, ready for our weekend trip to Feldcroft.

Sebastian's face lit up when he saw me, "Hey there, beautiful! Ready for an adventure?"

I smiled and nodded, excited for our trip. The air was cool but it was a clear day, excellent flying conditions. We took off into the sky, the fresh air whipping my hair around, filling me with a feeling of freedom and exhilaration. The view along the journey was absolutely breathtaking. I kept a few paces ahead of the boys, I couldn't help myself. I was slightly competitive, and I loved flying fast.

We touched down in the cute little village, bustling with friendly villagers, nodding and smiling at us, a few greeting us with warm hugs. Sebastian and Ominis were always well loved here, and some of them recognized me as well, as I had helped Sebastian save his town during the battle we encountered here in our fifth year. The townspeople were forever grateful.

We made our way to Anne's cottage, she was waiting eagerly out the front for us. She welcomed us with open arms, inviting us inside to offload our bags and brooms, pouring each of us a cup of tea. We chatted about school work mostly, since we'd already caught up properly just a week prior at the Hog's Head Inn. She showed us her set up at home, it seemed she was catching up quickly on her school work, meaning she would soon be able to rejoin us at Hogwarts.

"Perhaps after Christmas!" she shared excitedly.

Sebastian cleared our tea cups from the table, and encouraged Ominis and I to go and spend some time in the village. Him and Anne wanted to cook dinner for us, but insisted they did not require any help. I got the sense that Sebastian wanted some alone time with Anne, so I happily let them be, and took Ominis for a stroll around the town, arm-in-arm.

After checking out what the local vendors had on offer, we came across a cozy little tavern at the edge of the town.

"Fancy a drink?" I asked Ominis cheekily.

"You know it, bitch," he responded sassily.

We sat ourselves at a corner table, in the empty pub, and enjoyed a few drinks and some deep conversations.

"Ominis, I have to share something with you..." I began.

"Oh, do tell y/n. You know I live for your dramatic revelations," he smiled slyly.

Although he knew about Sebastian and I already, and our sexy escapades, mainly because he's nosy but also because I love to gossip with him, even about myself – I wanted to share with him my feelings I had come to realize.

"I'm in love with him," I gushed.

A calm and satisfied look washed over his face. "I know you are, darling. And I'm so happy for you both. Truly. You make a fine pair. And I've never seen either of you as happy and giddy as I have for the last few weeks."

"I had just been so wrapped up in my concerns, worrying about how this would affect our friendship, but I feel like we've come a little too far to turn back now," I chuckled.

"I didn't quite understand those concerns, y/n," Ominis shared in a serious tone, "If your friendship couldn't withstand a little romantic interest, then it wouldn't really be as sturdy as you thought, right? You two have built a solid foundation together in friendship, which should blossom into a healthy relationship. I can't imagine the two of you apart again."

"Me neither," I sighed.

"But y/n, that goes for Garreth too... if he can't be happy for you, then is he truly your friend?" Ominis probed.
