SEBASTIAN'S POV
"GET HER DOWN!" Poppy shrieked in distress, collapsing on the ground just past Natty.
Poppy had a change of heart and followed us down after all. She had come racing around the corner and barged past me and through Natty.
"Natty, step aside," I said, my voice low. She had tears in her eyes as she slowly stepped to the side.
Poppy was waving her wand around frantically muttering incantations. I heard the clinking of metal chains as my heart thudded in my chest, my eyes finally registered what was happening in front of me.
The sight of y/n chained up on a cross made me want to throw up.
She was bloodied and battered, her clothes were torn and ripped, exposing her vulnerable form. She had burns all up her arm, cuts all over her, and she was unconscious, her head hanging, her body limp. Every inch of her being spoke of the torment she must have endured within these walls. My heart broke... and a surge of sorrow and rage ripped through my veins witnessing her in this state.
Without a moment's hesitation, I raced toward her.
"Oh y/n, my love, what have they done to you?" I managed to choke out, gently brushing my hand across her cheek as Poppy worked on the chains. "How could anyone do this to her!" I whispered in distress to Poppy.
I put my hands steadily on her waist, ready to catch her once Poppy freed her from her restraints. With a loud CLANG y/n was free, and she limply fell into my arms.
I gently laid her down on the floor, sitting down as well and placing her head in my lap, cradling her in my arms.
"Natty, my bag..." I pointed urgently at my bag which I had thrown down when I saw y/n. "Wiggenweld..."
Natty brought my bag over and sat down beside us, tears streaming down her face as she rummaged through it to find the healing potions.
"Maybe you should apparate the two of you somewhere safe, Sebastian," Poppy choked out through her tears. "In case the poacher returns..."
I was torn between wanting to get y/n the fuck out of there, or waiting for her captor to return so I could seek revenge. Also, I didn't want to leave the girls alone there. Not that they weren't capable of handling themselves in a fight, but if something happened to either of them...
Poppy assured me that she had summoned the others for backup while she was outside, so the girls convinced me to get to safety. Unable to think clearly myself, I did as they said.
Natty handed me my bag, and I apparated y/n and I to the Undercroft.
With y/n still in my arms, I conjured up a comfortable bed and laid her down in it, climbing in as well so I could keep holding on to her. I never wanted to let her go, ever again.
I pulled out a Wiggenweld potion, but before I could administer it, I felt her stirring.
Her eyes fluttered open, they were extremely red and drained. She looked up at me, a mixture of pain and gratitude in her eyes. "Seb...?" she managed to choke out in barely a whisper. She raised her arm weakly, it trembled as she placed her cold, delicate hand on my cheek. Through the pain and torment she'd just been through, somehow she managed a smile.
"Yes, my love, you're safe with me now, ok?" I tenderly stroked her hair, trying to keep my voice as stable as possible. She winced at my touch, so I immediately pulled my hand away. "We're in the Undercroft, just you and me. You're safe..." I uncorked the Wiggenweld potion with my teeth and positioned the vial at her lips. "Drink this sweetheart, and all your pain will wash away."
