As eda got home from her late shift, she looked around, and didn't see Raine anywhere. "Rainestorm?.. Hm.. They must have gone to bed" she said to herself. Eda went to put her purse down, only to see a dim light on in her kitchen. She walked over, and was Raine face planted into the table, with a glass of whisky next to them, and the half empty bottle. Eda gave her best friend a sympathetic look, and walked over to them. "Hey.. Rainestorm.. You alright?" She asked, as she started playing in their hair. Raine looked up at eda, tears in their eyes, which only pained eda more to see. Eda sat down next to them, and took their hand. "It's.. Gonna be okay" eda mumbled, she knew they were completely wasted, but that didn't stop her from at least getting some type of answers out of them. "Eda.. Please.. Just stay with me" Raine said in a shaky, and very drunk voice, then leaned forward, and start kissing eda.
Now how did I get caught up in this situation?.. When did I get in so deep? .. Oh yeah.. I remember.. Back when this all started...

Eda was in a complete panic, she was rushing around, and trying to get ready. Today was hopefully going to give her the person of her dreams. "Edalyn I really think you should slow down" Lilith said, as eda hurried putting on her boots. "No time!! Gotta keep up the adrenaline!" Eda protested. "Okay.. Why?" Lilith asked, all she knows is that eda needed moral support. "I'm.. I'm gonna tell them!!" Eda said as she blushed and got excited. "Okay.. I'm going to assume your.. Talking to Raine.. But about what?" Lilith asked. "I.. Um.. I'm.. Gonna tell them how I feel!" Eda said, as she started fixing her hair. Lilith smiled, and rolled her eyes. "Edalyn I'm proud of you! It's been long enough, a decade in fact" Lilith said. "Thanks! I just.. I just had then feeling you know? Like I just had to tell them today!" Eda beamed. "Well.. No, but it's good your finally admitting your feelings instead of watching hallmark channel" Lilith said, making eda glare at her. "We don't talk about that" eda said. As she was finally ready, she take a deep breath, then hears a knock on her door. Eda blushed heavily. "Wish me luck lily" eda said, then opened the door to see Raine. "Hey.. Raine!.. Heh" eda said nervously. Raine smiled at put their hands in her pocket. "You ready to go?" They asked. Eda nodded as she blush profusely.
Eda and Raine walked out into the woods together, just added they always would to hang out together. A small secluded part of the woods, a spot they've been going together since high school. Their spot.
As the two got comfortable. Eda took a deep breath, she was ready to confess. "Raine.. I have something really.. Really important to tell you" eda said, with a bright and nurvous smile. "Thats amazing! So do I" Raine replied. "Raine.. I love-" eda was cut off by Raine blurting out. "I have a girlfriend!"
Those 4 simple words.. Cut me deeper than a knife, they loved someone.. And that someone.. Wasn't me
"Ah! Sorry sorry! Didn't meant to cut you off calamity.. What were you trying to say?" They asked, eda forced a smile, while fighting back tears. "I um.. Was going to say.. I.. Love.. You-.. Your.. Sense of humor" she said in a low.. And disappointed voice. "Awh, eda your such a great friend!" Raine beamed.

Eda held back tears and smiled and nodded as Raine talked about their girlfriend Stephanie. This was very painful, but regardless she loved them and wanted them to be happy. Even if that ment dating someone else. Someone who wasn't her. No matter how much it would hurt, she'd be happy for them. "Ah, sorry calamity, I need to go Steph knees me" they said getting up. ".. Bye.. " eda mumbled. Right as Raine was out of sight, she started crying. Well more if sobbing, but eda and trained herself to cry silently so nobody would ever hear her.
It started raining, eda looked around for maybe a thick trail of trees, then saw Raines hoodie. They bad taken it off. Eda slipped it on, and it still had their Cologne on it. As eda hurried home, she was greeted by Lilith and Darius. "Hey eda! Wheres your new partner?" They asked Hoping to tease her. Eda took a deep breath, and walked past them. "Were not a couple.. " eda said. And locked herself in her room. "Edalyn.." Lilith mumbled. Later one Lilith and Darius got the full story on what happened. And of course they stayed with her. Eda's only request was that they don't treat Raine any differently..
