Eda had been gone for a while, so Lilith decided to go find her. "Darius.. I'm going to check on eda" she said. Darius nodded, and kept talking to Raine.
Lilith found the park restrooma, and eda sitting on the grass out side of them crying. Lilith hated seeing eda cry, although she'd only seen her cry one other time. "Eda..do.. You want to talk about it?" Lilith asked, sitting next to her sister. Eda quickly wiped her face, although it was useless, she'd already been caught. "You didn't have to come, you knoe?" Lilith said. Eda chuckled."you didn't hear their voice when they asked..they sounded so happy..i couldn't say no" Lilith sighed, "Eda.. How long are you planning on suffering like this?.." Lilith asked. Eda looked down. "The rest of my life.."eda replied. " Raine.. Doesn't.. Love me..and no matter how much it hurts.. I.. I want to still be close to them.." Eda said. "Thats admirable.. But.. Maybe you should try.. You know.. Finding someone else.. " Lilith suggested. Eda shook her head. "No.. " she said with a weak smile. "Raine.. Loves you, their just not.. In love with you" Lilith said. "Does that help?" Lilith asked. Eda chuckled. "No.. But. . Thanks" eda said. Lilith stood up, then held a hand out for eda. Eda took her hand, and Lilith pulled her up. "Will you be alright?" Lilith asked. ".. I have to be.. " eda said, putting on a brave face. "Hey.. I could.. Come over tonight, might help take your mind off.. You know" Lilith offered. "Yeah.. Yeah sounds greet" eda relied.
Eda and Lilith joined everyone else, and they all had a good time. Eda saw the look of love in Raines eyes as they looked at Stephenie. She wished Raine looked at her like that, but she wasn't going to say it.
Over the next few weeks eda tried her best to not love Raine. However it didn't work. Although things for Raine went well in their relationship.
When Raine got home from work Stephenie immediately greeted them with a kiss. It flustered Raine but they didn't mind. "Hii rae-rae!" She beamed. "Hey Steph, you seem in a good mood" they said in a chuckle. "Of course! I wanted to ask you if we could get me a new dress? My parents are going to this huge event and want me to come" she explained. "Oh alright, but don't you have a lot of dresses already?" They asked. "Yeah.. But those are for casual outings, I need a formal one" she said. Raine knew how Stephenie grew up, with all the luxury a girl could ask for. "Alright.. Let's get you a new dress" they agreed.
A year later:
As eda was relaxing by herself on her day off. Eda heard someone at her door, so she went to answer it. You can imagine eda's suprise when it was Raine. "Oh, hey rainestorm, something wrong?" Eda asked, as she let them in. "Eda.. I um.. Need to tell you something important" they said. Eda looked at their face, they were nurvous and blushing. "Yeah?" Eda asked, inviting them to go on. "Eda..theres something I really need to ask you, and have been wanting to for a really long time" they said. Eda's eyes lit up, was this going to be what she'd been waiting for. "Yes! I absolutely will!" Eda blurted out. She couldn't wait for them to ask, and she was blushing like crazy. "Youll help me propose to Stephenie!?" They asked with a bright smile. Eda stood there with a blank expression. "W-what?" Eda asked. "Yeah, I was going to ask if you'd help me ask Stephenie to marry me!" Raine beamed.
Right then.. That very moment.. I was absolutely ready to give up.. On my live life.. My dreams.. Life itself.. Ive lost them forever.. And there's nothing I can do.. But smile
"Y-yeah! Of course.. I'm so proud of you" eda said with a bright, and fake smile. "Thank you eda! Your the best friend anyone could ever ask for!" Raine beamed as they hugged her. Eda hugged them back, but all she wanted to do in that very moment was ball her eyes out.
Eda went to a jewelry store with Raine to pick out an engagement ring. "Which one do you think shell like most?" Raine asked. Eda looked at the rings, and saw a very nice diamond ring that looked about 3 carrots. "Hm.. Try this one, it's very pretty" eda said, as she smiled at them. Raine smiled brightly, and eda blushed. She loved seeing them smile, no matter the situation. "Eda its perfect! Shes going to love it!" Raine beamed. "Yeah.. Shes.. One lucky girl" eda mumbled.
Eda then helped raine get ready. "Eda are you sure about this?" They asked. It was a white button up shirt, and black dress pants with a few feminine touches. A small Chain on their pants, 3 inch boots, which eda used as a chance to call Raine short, and eda painted their nails black. "Trust me.. You look.. You look amazing" eda said, as she admired them. "Thanks eda.. Really I can't thank you enough" Raine said. "No problem.. Now you go wait for her, and il bring her over, alright?" Eda said. Raine nodded and left.
Later on Stephenie got back, and jumped when she saw eda. "What are you doing here!?" She asked. "Hey calm down, Raine has a suprise for you.. And they asked me to help you get ready" she explained. Stephenie squealed. "Oo I bet it's a new Prada bag!" She beamed, and went to her room to get ready. Eda found it a little self centered for Stephenie to want a thousands of dollars bag, but didn't say anything.
Eda brought Stephenie to the location Raine requested, and saw how beautiful it was. Eda made sure she was far enough away, so sh3 couldn't hear what was said, she knew she wouldn't be able to handle hearing it.
When eda went to see what was happening 10 minutes later, she was them making out, and that was eda's breaking point. Eda hurried home in tears, all she wanted right now was to be alone.
Meanwhile, Lilith was also at home enjoying her evening, scrolling on Instagram, she saw Stephenie posted pictures on hers and Raines engagement. Lilith sighed, and called Darius.
"Darius.."
"I'm guessing you saw it to?"
"Just saw the pictures actually.. We need to go check on edalyn"
"It's going to be bad.. Like.. The zombie bride movies bad.. "
"Poor thing.. Um.. Bring 4 boxes of tissues.."
"Yeah.. And il bring some wine- never mind.. Il grab whiskey"
"Good.. I'm meet you there"
"See ya Lilith".
Lilith hung up, and Immediately drove to eda's house. She luckily had a spare key, and let herself in, and saw it was worse than she thought. Eda was splayed on her couch, with a gallon tub of vanilla ice cream, a single spoon, tissues everywhere. Zombie bride romance movies, a nearly empty bottle of red wine next to her on the floor, and the so g " golden hour" playing in I'm the back. Lilith looked at the scene, and then Darius walked in and closed the door. "Your sister had issues" he said. "Runs in the family.. " Lilith sighed.
Lilith sat down next to eda, whos eyes were red due to crying, and Darius gave her more tissues, the tub of ice cream he brought and the whisky. They knew nothing would make her feels better, but they could at least stay with her. Regardless if eda would admit it or not, she appreciated it, drunk and all.
