Namjoon had always had his eyes on Seokjin ever since they were tiny pups.

Namjoon's alpha father was the pack leader of the Moon Pack, and Seokjin was the stepson of his beta, so they basically grew up together in the pack house.

Seokjin was only five when three-year-old Namjoon first saw him, a tiny alpha pup peeping at him from behind his appa's leg, his miniscule fingers clutching onto his pant leg as he stared at the hyperactive little omega in a little blue overall and straw hat bouncing in his omega mother's arms as she and her soon-to-be mate, the Pack Beta, talked with the leader.

And that was when the future pack Alpha knew that he was in love.

Kim Seokjin and his mother had been cast out of their old pack during that time, and they'd been escaping and hiding around the borderline of other packs, because they'd be killed if caught trespassing other pack borders, and this fight for survival had gone on for a whole week before they were caught by the members of the Moon Pack while guarding their territory.

They brought the exhausted omega in front of the whole Pack Council covered in blood, bruises and dirt with her clothes torn and hair a tangled mess, holding tightly onto her little Seokjin, who wasn't hurt at all but dirty from not being washed for days, though his mother was determined to keep him safe no matter what happened to her.

Instead of dooming the young mother and her pup with the sentence of death for the crime of getting into their territory, Namjoon's father, being a kind and just leader, had them both cleaned, bathed, dressed and fed before he listened to why the woman and her omega son was in this state instead.

Seokjin's mother told the alpha all about the Abyss Pack, and how she'd been the Luna. However, her mate and the leader of the pack had never valued her and treated her badly, specially when she gave birth to Seokjin, a rare male omega.

Omegas were treated like filth by the pack and considered weak and useless, and being an omega herself, the Luna was disrespected by her own family like the rest of the pack. And the hate she received increased when Seokjin was born.

However, his mother had never blamed him for increasing her sadness and pain by his existence, and considered him as her rare treasure, her light in the darkness. Seokjin was his mother's only comfort just by being a sweet little adorable pup, too innocent to even understand how much his pack looked down upon him.
