"Kim Seokjin, now that we're finally alone, I want you to know that I do not want to be involved in love, so do not expect to receive it from me. I was forced with this marriage, and even though I accepted it, I never really accepted you."
Namjoon coldly said this to his newly married groom on their bridal night, once they were in privacy in their bridal chamber, surrounded by rose petals on the bed and the floor, candles strewn around to form paths.
Seokjin looked like the prettiest flower in his alluring red night robe and permed brown hair, but his big fawn-like eyes held the most painful of expressions at his husband's cruel rejection right on the night they got married. Nevertheless, he maintained his composure, merely lowering his head and smiling serenely.
"It matters not whether you accept me as your husband or not, Namjoon-ssi," he said in a gentle flute-like voice, hands clasped over his lap. "I will love you and care for you as a husband, and keep my vows. You are my husband, and I will treat you as such."
Namjoon stared at the slender male in the low-necked robe for a while, looking small and submissive, fragile but strong and brave at the same time. An inner turmoil began to bubble in his chest, both at Seokjin's glowing beauty and his determined words, and not liking the feeling, he looked away with a scoff.
"I am not comfortable sleeping with you, so I will occupy another room," Namjoon said indifferently, getting up from the bridal bed without looking back at his hurt groom.
Seokjin felt torn apart about his spouse leaving him to spend the bridal night all on his own, but he didn't protest. Since Namjoon made it clear, he couldn't expect him to treat him like a husband, but he wouldn't waver from his duty to make his husband comfortable.
"Very well, have a comfortable night, Namjoon-ssi," he said quietly, not daring to look up from the bedsheets in case looking at the other made him break down.
Namjoon did not even act like he heard Seokjin, shrugging him off and walking out of the bridal chamber, his immense pain and anger shoving away every bit of the slightest remorse of leaving his sweet groom alone.
'I don't want to fall in love. I hope I make you hate me and leave me before I do so. You don't deserve an unloving husband like me, Kim Seokjin.'
