"Namjoonie!"
My best friend sprints towards me with the biggest smile, his face radiant as our eyes meet.
I'd been waiting outside in the parking lot of his workplace- the Happy Clinic, specializing in children's and infants' health- and I'm supposed to give him a ride home. Not exactly, but I feel so avaricious over him that when I discern he's not taken his car or his girlfriend's not driving him to places, I immediately seize the chance to offer him rides.
And who'll not hanker after to devote a little more time with a being like the Kim Seokjin?
Seokjin is the most beautiful person with the most beautiful heart. If I articulate about him, I always end up sounding more like a despondent devotee than his very own best friend.
A ludicrous smile edges up to my lips as I straighten from my initial position, having been perched against the hood of my car, scrolling through random reels on social media on my phone while being dunked in an ocean of tedium.
I currently heave my phone deep in my coat's pocket as I readily unfold my arms for him. He jumps right in, giggling, and as always, all of my worries and frustrations melt away as he snuggles to my chest while we hug each other, swaying on the spot.
Anyone would think we haven't met up in ages, yet in contrast, we interact every single day. If not in person then definitely on a video call, or just in texting. Despite our hectic work schedules, the connection we've developed since back in our carefree high school days ran too deep to allow us to go even one day without contact.
