You and Nanami became more close to each other over the time. You both would often go on missions and your coordination while exorcising the spirits were amazing. Nanami wasn't much of a speaker but you would always manage to break the ice between you both. He could easily listen to you especially when you are talking about something serious. He didn't mind your silly talks at all and admired you as a close friend. At first he thought that it was just a mere friendship and colleague type of connection with you but soon he realized he developed feelings towards you.
Y/N- Haibara I swear to god stop stealing my needles!
(your voice echoed in the halls. You were chasing Haibara since he stole your cursed needles again! You cleaned them and kept them in their case since you weren't getting missions and seeing that as a chance they were stolen by your teammate)
Haibara- catch me & take them Y/n!
(he said running away from you, you were getting frustrated but didn't wanted to use your cursed threads since your emotions might take over you and you might hurt him. Nanami was looking at you both & sighed, getting up from his place he stood over where Haibara was supposed to come running. As soon as he saw Haibara and that he was about to pass by him, he grabbed his collar stopping him. Soon you catch upto him and tackle Haibara on the ground)
*BONK*
Y/N- don't steal them! thank you Kento-kun
(You said and walked away from there, Haibara looks up with a drop of tear rubbing his head)
Haibara- seriously Nanami?!
Nanami- what?
Haibara- c'mon man why would you that?
Nanami- I was just helping
Haibara- you were helping her!
Nanami- exactly
(he said and left Haibara there sitting on the ground rubbing his head. He made his way to where you went to find you. Soon he came across the garden where you were sitting peacefully , your head on your knees as you look at the pond in front of you. The red flowers of the crape myrtle falling down. You look at the flowers falling down smiling to yourself and enjoying the peace. He looks at the beautiful view in front of him a small smile appearing on his face. He was admiring you from afar without being aware of his own actions. You were soon joined by your upperclassmen Shoko. You both were talking and laughing over something while Nanami admired you, your smile, your actions. He soon walks away from there making his way to the empty classroom sitting on his desk)
Nanami- *do I have feelings for her?*
(he thought to himself looking outside of the class window. He closes his eyes and the scene of you sitting under the crape myrtle tree near the pond reappears in front of him. He opens his eyes and says to himself)
Nanami- I guess I do.
