HARPER
"You're staring, again." Rasps Taylor as my eyes snap up from his lips to his playful eyes as a hot blush burns at my cheeks.
I can't help it.
Ever since he had his wicked way with me this morning over the meeting room table, I've become insatiable. I ache so badly for Taylor it's insane. He's truly awakened something in my confused little heart, and I like it, I really fucking like it.
"No, I'm not." I mumble looking away as Taylor chuckles.
Tonight, we've stayed in Manhattan for the evening as Taylor has taken me out for our very first date. I thought he'd take me to some fancy restaurant which would have been nice, but what he had in mind ended up being so much better.
My eyes side glance and travel down over his perfectly toned body. It's a little cool this evening, so my mate has opted for a mid-thigh dark overcoat with a white t-shirt and black jeans paired with his sexy as fuck black rimmed glasses. I can just see the hints of his tattoos on his neck and back of hands, those hands that know exactly what they're doing whenever they touch my body. I wet my lips that are starting to feel dry when suddenly Taylor grabs my chin smirking as my eyes lock back onto his.
"You're staring, again." He whispers before leaning down pressing his lips to mine, making me hum before I curl my fists into his t-shirt and hold him closer to my body for a moment longer.
"You're supposed to be watching the movie, I had to pull a lot of strings to get this showing tonight." Taylor grins against my lips. "I thought it was one of your favourites."
"I am. It is. So, stop distracting me." I growl pulling away as Taylor chuckles.
Sat on a picnic blanket, I look back at the large outdoor movie screen that's showing King Kong in the park next to the Brooklyn bridge. It's been dark for hours; the city's skyline is lit up in the background and loved up couples are dotted around snuggled up together enjoying night-time picnics whilst watching the screening.
"Here." Taylor says whilst topping up my champagne flute before he pours himself half a glass.
I know he doesn't drink much, but I'm glad he's drinking some otherwise I'd be utterly drunk right now and I'm already a little tipsy. I feel nervous. It's a weird feeling after spending so much time already alone with Taylor in his cabin to be feeling this way but I do. It's the good nerves you get on your first date with someone you really like. When you want them to like you back just as much.
"Right, it's your go." Taylor smiles passing me a piece of popcorn as I sigh.
"This game isn't fair, you're too good at it." I complain.
Throwing my piece of popcorn at the little popcorn bag a few feet away, I miss once again resulting with Taylor snorting a laugh as it lands next to all the other pieces I've missed.
"I know you've had no warrior training, but jeez baby, surely you can hit the target at least once." Taylor smirks as he throws his popcorn in with ease with the flick of a wrist then wiggles his eyebrows. "Come on, this was your game and I got one in. So, stick to the rules. Tell me another thing about you that I don't know."
"Grr." I groan. "I made this game up so I could find out more about you and all night all you've heard about is me. Come on, give me something Beta!" I say with exasperation. "Tell me what you were like as a kid, something?"
Taylor throws some popcorn in his mouth and shakes his head as I shove his shoulder. He's as hard as a rock and doesn't move a muscle apart from a big grin on his lips that just grows bigger. Frustrated, I cross my arms over and look back at the big screen pursing my lips up. We stay quiet for a moment and watch the film before I hear Taylor sigh.
