When Angels Cry

BOOM! Another crash of thunder rolled and you flinched. You had never gotten over your fear of storms. Thomas wasn't there to help. He was at work and wouldn't be home for half hour.

A flash of lightning made you jump. Quickly, you grabbed a blanket and your phone and rushed to your closet.

You hid as far back as possible, but it still didn't keep the terrible noise out. More thunder boomed and you brought your knees to your chest and covered yourself with the blanket.

After about half hour later, the storm still hasn't stopped. By now tears had sprung up. All you wanted was Thomas.

Suddenly, a rustle came from outside the closet causing you to scoot father back until your back hit the wall.

"Y/N?" It was Thomas. You sighed in relief.

"I-I'm in here."

The closest doors opened and there Thomas stood in the doorway. "Sweetheart, what are you doing?"

You looked down embarrassed. "I was hiding from the storm."

Thomas smiled. "Come here." He opened his arms. You stood up quickly and ran into his embrace, burying you head in his chest. Softly, you cried.

"Hey, it's okay. You're safe, sweetheart. I'm here," he comforted as he stroked your back.

"Here." He gently took your hands and led you out of the closest and onto your bed. He opened his arms once more and you crawled into them.

Another round of thunder caused you to jump and start shaking. Thomas rubbed your back. "Everything's okay."

"Hey," he lifter your head with his fingers. "Did you know that rain is when the angels cry?"

You shook your head. "See, they cry because of all the bad things in the world and they cry because for people who are scared of things."

This helped you not to think of the storm and after several minutes it had stopped. Thomas smiled at you and kissed your lips. "See there is no reason to be scared." You smiled and cuddled with Thomas. He always knew how to cheer you up.
