"I guess I should've been cautious that night," the man murmured. "It was a nightmare when I found out that Nikki was nowhere in the building."
"You should have been devastated," the reporter agreed. "But let's get the story continued, since we know that she would be alive."
"That devil didn't kill her, but he might have done horrible things."
"Do you know anything about it?"
"Not really, but... I still feel sorry for Nikki whenever I think of that event."

"I got her," Lewis whispered to the device. "She's so small. Why do you want this girl..?"
"Just bring her. Now. You'd better make her comfortable while you're flying though. She hates cold places. And night air is definitely cold for a young kid."
"So what do you want me to do? Lit a fire?"
"Just come quickly," the devil snarled. "No more fireworks."
As the hybrid descended from the night sky, the devil ran toward him, simply snatching the girl from him. His cold, calculating eyes softened as he held the girl close to him. The evil aura around him seemed to spread, though. Letting the girl feel his warm breath, he gazed at her. He's a devil, yes, but he's also the one who can protect her. The girl rejected his suggestion, but that didn't actually break his heart. It was just a feeling that he felt because he thought that the girl would hate him. But she didn't, as he looked at her being comfortable, even in the devil's arms. Maybe he could start it all over again when she woke.
Suddenly, the girl started coughing, and her body shivered. Even with all the fire around her, she felt cold. She could be a smart girl, but she couldn't live without more heat. The devil desperately opened a portal to his "home", which meant-
"Where are you going?" Lewis asked from behind.
"Go, Lewis, this is emergency," the devil said. "Get back to your hiding place. It's too dangerous for you to follow."
"I swear I won't cause any problem!"
"The portal chooses who's the right devil to enter it," the devil shouted. "And you're not even a complete devil. There's a little chance the portal lets hybrid enter."
"I'm trying hard to become a devil I want to be! I'll do anything to get myself become a devil. I want more power! I want more anger! More evil! Anything that can let me grow strong! I've always wanted to join the evil when it comes to my turn..."
Lewis' voice turned like the devil's, and there was a deep growl ringing in his throat. Ambition and jealousy triggered him. His eyes were glowing powerfully, and he closed his eyes as the fire that were dancing around him crept over his shoulders and to his neck. When he opened his eyes again, there was no kindness in them anymore. All that was left in the nineteen-year-old guy's mind was evilness and insanity.
Seeing the boy turn like a devil did scare the real devil, but he just accepted the fact that Lewis was willing to become a devil. He would have a lieutenant who will always support him. That way, he would win this battle against his greatest rival and Lewis' older brother. Lewis made a sick grin at him, and the devil responded with an evil smile.
"Let's go," the devil said, holding the hybrid's hand.
"My Lord," the hybrid said, not moving. "May I carry the girl instead?"
