Felix had genuinely thought that Yeona was mute until the day she first spoke to him. It was exactly 9 days after they had met; exactly 9 days since Felix started bothering her.

"You know, Mystery Girl—" Felix had started but was delightfully surprised when he was interrupted by his new friend.

"Yeona," she muttered quietly. "It's Yeona."

If wasn't happy before, he certainly was now. There was a new spring to his step, and he just loved the way his friend's name rolled off his tongue. Yeona. Kim Yeona.

And since that day, he wouldn't miss the opportunity to call her that because he knew that she liked being called her name, too.

The only other person in Yeona's life who called her that was her useless excuse of a father. The man who was always wasted after the death of his wife and blamed his daughter for everything. The man who was possibly the reason Yeona had fallen into a deep hole many call 'depression'.

She knew that without her personal ball of sunshine whom she called 'Lixxie' in her head, she would have been falling way faster. But even though Felix was always trying to help her, he wasn't always there, and that was something that certain mean girls had picked up on.

"Aw, your protector Felix isn't here now, is he?" One of the girls standing above her mocked before kicking Yeona again, her head hitting the girls' washroom floor again.

The girls cackled as Yeona struggled to catch her breath. The poor girl weakly raised her hand towards her head and was horrified when she saw something unmistakably red on her fingers. Blood.

The leader of the girls kicked her a few more times, relishing her pain. "Hopefully, Felix oppa will see how weak she is, and he'll finally pay more attention to me!"

Yeona wanted to scream. He won't ever like you, she wanted to tell them. He doesn't like bitches like you. But she could barely focus on anything but her throbbing head.

I hate my life.
