But...
In that place..
For a few moments...
I got a glimpse of the divine
It was but a taste
a tease
Of the paradise promised in the books
Happy dancing up and down
Hands swaying to and fro
No shackles
No shame
Joy multiplied and allowed to run free
And
Voices sang praises to a lovely God
There.
Right there...
In that short reprise
Misery and all the other evils stood in silence and awe
Because
Finally
After so long
Maybe
Just maybe
I was home.
